Fire Emblem: Three Houses' Dimitri Snubbed By Nintendo On His Birthday

Nintendo has committed an act of treason by not wishing its Fire Emblem: Three Houses character, Dimitri, a happy birthday. Ever since the release of the popular entry in the series, Nintendo has wished multiple popular characters a happy birthday - except for one of its main characters, as of this week.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses was released back in July of 2019 to rave reviews and plenty of players taking part in the game. Many raved about the play style, which was was a combination of an open-world mechanic with battle tactics and social storylines that reacted to players' decisions. Due to the popularity of the game, many players grew close connections to the characters that they played with, such as the heads of the three houses of the Garreg Mach Monastery, Claude, Dimitri, and Edelgard.

However, it seems that Nintendo has forgotten about one of them. The Nintendo of America Twitter page this year wished a Happy Birthday to both Claude and Edelgard from Fire Emblem: Three Houses over the summer. However, as of this weekend when Dimitri’s birthday was supposed to be (December 20), Nintendo of America did not wish him a happy birthday, making him the only house leader from the game left out of an official celebration, as Twitter user theprinceofiris pointed out.

Given that the last two birthday posts were back in the summer, in June and July, the person who manages the social media account could have just forgotten that there was this important date coming up. It has also been some time since the game was released, and despite it being very popular, it would be a matter of time before some began to forget about it as more new games begin to release, making it less worthy of a shoutout on the social media channel. However, Fire Emblem has come a bit closer to the spotlight again recently, with a new English translation of Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & the Black of Light coming to Nintendo Switch as of December 4th.

While Dimitri hasn't gotten an official greeting from Nintendo, it would surely seem fair if he did considering Nintendo did it for the previous two houses. Fire Emblem: Three Houses has won so many awards that the characters deserve the praise that they receive, and that means a nice happy birthday as well.
