Chicago PD: Each Role The Main Characters Could Play In The MCU

Crossovers have become a thing of the norm when it comes to Primetime TV shows such as Chicago PD, Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, and Law and Order SVU. But what happens when you take a hit show such as Chicago PD and cross the characters with the mighty superheroes and villains of the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Which PD characters can make their way in the MCU?

Will Hank Voight be a great fit for Nick Fury or Iron Man? Is there anyone on PD who can take on the mantle of Captain America or Thor? Is Kim Burgess or Hailey Upton brave enough to walk in the shoes of Black Widow or Scarlet Witch?

10 Trudy Platt (The Ancient One)

Trudy Platt is the old guard on Chicago PD. Now a Sergeant, Platt stands behind a desk all day giving orders. Her time in the streets of Chicago are over but that's not to say that Platt has not earned her respect. Each cop that comes through the station has been under the tutelage of Platt. Just imagine her in the role of The Ancient One.

Much the same as she did for Dr. Strange, Platt has a similar role on the hit NBC show. Platt is full of wisdom but can also be the one who dishes out the discipline if need be. Her job is to mold the next wave.

9 Hank Voight (Nick Fury)

Without a doubt, Hank Voight has to play the role of Nick Fury. As the leader of the Intelligence Unit, Voight will easily fit right into the leader of the MCU role. Not only is his expertise giving orders, but Voight is the one to go that extra mile to make sure everyone is safe from harm.

While everyone may not agree with Fury and his tactics, they know to fall in line. Voight is not perfect by any means but he's the best candidate to lead the team.

8 Jay Halstead (Winter Soldier)

Jay Halsted does have that Captain America look but does he have those same qualities that Steve Rodgers has? No. The cops on Chicago PD are good for going off script and doing something to bend the law, thus putting a character such as Halstead into the role of Winter Solider.

Bucky began as the good guy but was brainwashed to become a stone-cold killer. Halstead is good but even he can go off the rails. Fitting in as Bucky Barnes is not a stretch for a character known to butt heads with authority figures in his life.

7 Kim Burgess (Black Widow)

Kim Burgess is tough as nails. She's been shot, beat, and lost a child all in the line of duty. Despite those setbacks, she's still going strong on Chicago PD. Much like Black Widow, Burgess also finds herself standing on different sides of the Intelligence Unit. As one of the two women on the team, it's Burgess who shows the most empathy for victims.

Natasha has a heart but she still sees the bigger picture of the mission. In a fight, Burgess can more than handle herself despite her smaller frame.

6 Antonio Dawson (Iron Fist)

Antonio Dawson means well. The problem is, he just can't get out of his own way. Much like Danny Rand, he's his own worst enemy. Sent in at first to bring down Hank Voight, Antonio often juggled the role of informant and dedicated team member.

Antonio has a dark past but still prided himself on family. Sliding into the role of Iron Fist is not that much of a stretch. Rand was a loner the same way Antonio was. While others were there to help, Antonio often went into situations blind and alone.

5 Kevin Atwater (Thor)

Kevin Atwater is better suited to slide into the role of Thor by more than just his physical appearance. Atwater is a product of the same environment that he often protects which puts him in an awkward situation. Thor was banished from Asgard but returned to save it but it was too late.

Atwater plays by the rules no matter what the consequences may be. They share the same qualities but there is a downside to being that strong as fans witnessed in Endgame.

4 Erin Lindsey (Scarlet Witch)

Erin Lindsey was just as strong as any of the other members of the team. What fans do miss about Erin was her strong personality. Erin left and fans found her absence difficult because she set the bar so high for the other female characters. No other new team member has been able to match.

Placing Erin in the role of Scarlet Witch makes perfect sense. Scarlet Witch was powerful but often seen in the background. Too scared to show her full potential, she let others do the heavy lifting. Much like Erin, if you want to see Scarlet Witch's full potential, come after someone she loves.

3 Adam Ruzek (Loki)

Adam Ruzek is not a bad guy. You just never know what you're going to get with him. Will you get the dedicated cop or the guy who's looking to turn his commanding officer over to IA? He's confused at times and then others, he's as dialed in as any member of the Intelligence Unit.

Filling the role of Loki suits him just fine. Loki is a complicated character and despite his plans to overtake his planet and his own family, Loki still is a beloved character in the MCU. He has moments where fans root for him and others where they wish he would be thrown in jail for life.

2 Alvin Olinsky (Phil Coulson)

With Voight taking on the role of Nick Fury, a right-hand man is definitely needed just in case. Olinsky has always been by Voight's side and in case Voight was to go down, Alvin could have easily slid into the role of leadership.

Olinsky has leadership qualities but may have doubted himself, much like Coulson did when he became the unofficial head of SHIELD. He has a commanding presence with a soft tone but the other members of the Intelligence Unit were down to follow him.

1 Hailey Upton (Gamora)

Hailey Upton fits in on Chicago PD but exactly where is the question? She came in as another cop who did things by the book but lost her way when she bent the law in her favor. Gamora is part of Guardians of the Galaxy but fans always felt that she was either better on her own or with another crew. Hailey brings that same vibe.

Placing Hailey into Gamora's role is pure genius. She has a good heart and means well but it's just something there that in a blink of an eye, everything about her could change for the worse.
