Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina: 5 Ways Sabrina Has Changed From Part 1 (& 5 Ways She Hasn’t)

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina came to its end with Part 4 on Netflix. When it began, the show centered around Sabrina as she had to choose between her mortal life and committing to the Dark Lord and accepting her witch nature. But, by the show's last installment, Sabrina had certainly grown up and changed her mindset quite a bit.

While she may have learned from her mistakes in the past, she still fell back on some old habits. There were also some new additions to the gang and who she cares for that either reinforced her actions or pushed her to think outside the box. Fans can certainly say that the Sabrina from Part 1 isn't the same young witch she finished the series as.

10 Same: She's Still At The Center Of All Problems

Since Part 1, Sabrina starts wreaking havoc when she learns of her Dark Baptism. She's against the idea entirely and hates the thought of leaving her mortal life. She concocts a plan to get out of it and fool the Dark Lord. Since that moment, Sabrina has gone on the be the center of most of the main character's problems.

The decisions she makes to help herself as well as others tips the balance of the universe, and the universe tends to fight back to keep stability. In Part 4, the huge cataclysm only exists because Sabrina kept her past version of herself to rule Hell, and there couldn't be two Sabrinas in existence.

9 Different: She Became Accepting Of Her Magic

When Sabrina's story first started, she was reluctant to leave her mortal friends behind. She also didn't like that the Church of Night was so rigorous in serving the Dark Lord and was so committed to such barbaric rituals. Sabrina does stir things up to try and change traditions, and she ultimately accepts her magic.

She sees it as a way to right certain wrongs and uses it to her advantage. But it doesn't always go in her favor.

8 Same: The Same Risk Taker

An endearing quality about Sabrina is that she's not afraid of almost anything. She's a huge risk-taker. This leads her and her loved ones to end up in sticky situations and experience bad repercussions.

Her risk taking continues on and on until the very end. Whether it's tampering with time or allowing her twin to stay alive, her daredevil nature is one of Sabrina's endearing yet destructive qualities that remained the same throughout the series.

7 Different: Her Love Story

Fans believed that maybe the relationship between Harvey and Sabrina would have won the test of time. But it sadly didn't. She and Harvey's sweetheart love ends up dying out rather quickly. As the show went on, Sabrina's mindset about love and relationships really blossomed.

She saw a connection with Nick and went for it. Although it was a more difficult relationship than her love with Harvey, it also seemed to be a more intense connection.

6 Same: She's Still Cunning

As Sabrina goes through her teenage years as a mortal and witch, she's proved many times that she can outsmart even the best. At first, she looked for ways to not be obligated to signing the Book of the Beast. She does so anyway, but finds a loophole to keep her mortal life at Baxter High.

As she and the gang get tangled in extreme peril, she often finds a solution, even if there are big repercussions later on. When the Void is ready to destroy their world, she finds a solution in Pandora's Box. But when it fails and she becomes the Void, she manages to trick Blackwood into worshipping her and telling her all he knows to save everyone.

5 Different: She Becomes Incredibly Lonely

When the show first started, she had everything. A loving boyfriend, close friends, loving aunts, and even her witch powers. But by the last installment, Sabrina became lonely despite everyone being around her.

She found a sense of comfort and friendship in her twin self. They were literally two peas in a pod and were each other's missing link. But even Sabrina Morningstar had it better. Sabrina is against her marriage to Caliban and tries to thwart it, but comes to realize that she needed to work on herself and just felt alone. She even tried to grow a perfect boyfriend. She does find some peace when she gets back together with Nick though.

4 Same: Needs To Protect Her Loved Ones

Sabrina's decisions could often times be selfish. But throughout her journey, her main concern was keeping everyone safe from harm. Through every evil they faced, Sabrina would often make sacrifices if it meant that no one could hurt them.

And in the end, Sabrina sacrifices herself to the Void to try and capture it. Even when Ambrose offers a solution after she becomes the Void, she vanishes to protect them. Her biggest sacrifice for the people she cares for comes when has to bleed out to bring back everyone stuck in the Void. She's aware of her possible fate and does so anyway.

3 Different: The Power Of Many

Whenever Sabrina would come up with a plan, she often believed she needed to do it on her own. She tried to not involve her friends or her aunts. On many occasions, Hilda and Zelda had to save her. But by the last two seasons, Sabrina learns that sometimes she's better off accepting help, and she and her loved ones are stronger together.

Sabrina does sacrifice herself on multiple occasions, but it's not without the help of everyone else.

2 Same: Still Impeccably Dressed

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina showed off a plethora of praiseworthy outfits from all the main characters. Sabrina's look adds to her personality, and even changed depending on what emotions she was feeling.

Regardless of what drama or danger was going on, Sabrina always made sure she had a fashionable and appropriate look for any occasion.

1 Different: She Accepts Her Ties To Lucifer

A huge storyline in the first season and second is when it's revealed why Sabrina was pushed to sign the Book of the Beast. As it turned out, she's actually the daughter of Lucifer. Meaning she's the rightful heir to the throne of Hell, and holds immense power.

Initially she resisted it, but Sabrina comes to accept it and even uses it to her advantage. Some barbaric rules in Hell changed. She's also no longer afraid of the Dark Lord. But she never saw herself ruling Hell, hence her twin taking over for her. By the end, part of who Sabrina is comes from her ties to Lucifer.
