Godzilla vs Kong Promo Site Warns The Titans Are On A Collision Course

The Monarch Sciences website for Godzilla vs. Kong is warning the two monsters are heading toward each other. The MonsterVerse brawl is just two months away from stomping into theaters and HBO Max. After much waiting, marketing appears to be going full steam ahead. Legendary Pictures revealed the long-awaited trailer will debut this Sunday.

Seven years ago, Godzilla returned to the big screen. In 2014's Godzilla, the iconic Japanese monster was re-imagined as an ancient protector. After destroying the Massive Unidentified Terrestrial Organisms wreaking havoc on the world, Godzilla returned to the sea. Few could have predicted Legendary would re-introduce Kong as well. In 2017, the King Kong mythos was re-imagined in Kong: Skull Island. Then, two years later, Godzilla returned in 2019's Godzilla: King of the Monsters, where he battled the sinister King Ghidorah. The film also teased the giant reptile's upcoming conflict with the king of Skull Island. Godzilla vs. Kong is bringing the two iconic creatures together for the first time since 1962. There has been some news, but Legendary has kept updates close to the vest, until now. Alongside the film's trailer debut date, Legendary released the first official poster.

The Monarch Sciences website has been updated to promote Godzilla vs. Kong. Upon entering, visitors are greeted with a warning message accompanied by an alarm. Then, the site teases the collision of Earth's two mightiest monsters.

While not new information, it is good to see marketing beginning to commence. Godzilla: King of the Monsters used marketing in the form of Monarch Sciences extensively, and it appears Godzilla vs. Kong could be following suit. Fans will have to wait and see if Monarch Sciences gets updated again.

All eyes will be on Godzilla vs. Kong's trailer this coming Sunday. After what certainly feels like quite a while, fans will finally get a look at the film's story. The tagline, "One Will Fall," teases one monster will indeed triumph over the other. In fact, director Adam Wingard teased in the past there will be a winner. Godzilla vs. Kong should certainly be one of 2021's biggest movies. As marketing starts to build hype with Sunday's trailer and Monarch Sciences, excitement should skyrocket. It will be interesting seeing how deep marketing goes over the next two months. Godzilla: King of the Monsters was given a sizeable marketing campaign, spoiling some of the film's bombastic action scenes. Perhaps a more conservative marketing approach for Godzilla vs. Kong will benefit the film.
