Anna Shay's BFF Florent Bonedai is spilling all the Bling Empire secrets. He revealed some key details on the drama behind the scenes.
Florent Bonedai appeared on Bling Empire as a close friend of Anna Shay. Anna's rivalry with Christine Chiu was a major plot point on the series. Anna is extremely wealthy and single. She loves jewelry, which is where Florent comes in. As a client executive at Boucheron, a high end jewelry company, Florent has access to all of Anna's favorite gemstones. On the show, Florent and Anna link up in Paris, and he travels back to Los Angeles with her to celebrate her birthday.
Florent told Too Fab everything fans wanted to know about some of the show's juiciest storylines. As for Christine and Anna's rivalry, he said it was "heated in the moment, but in a funny way," and that Anna was, "above it." "To Anna, there is no competition," he said, "We just play along with it." However, he insisted that the tension is very real in other parts of the show. When asked about Anna's surprise trip for Kelly Mi Li's birthday, Florent said there was "a very weird tension" between Kelly and her boyfriend, Andrew Gray. On the trip, Andrew blew up at Kelly while on speaker phone with her and Anna. Florent revealed that this actually lasted three days, instead of one. "I'm in the French way. So whatever happens between you, you keep it for yourself," Florent explained, "And they did not. So it was kind of weird for me, so I didn't know how to interact." Too Fab also asked about Florent's possible romance with Kane Lim. "We never had a proper date," he said, but hinted that something may have happened between them.
The other big storyline Florent commented on was Kim Lee and Guy Tang finding Anna Shay's penis pump. "It was not mine!" he insisted, but said everyone on the show had thought it was his. "It was the first time I saw one," he continued, "So I'm so amazed and impressed. And I'm far from being a virgin. But truly, I never saw one before." Florent is excited about season 2 of Bling Empire coming up, and he recently turned down a role on the French version of Queer Eye.
Fans are definitely looking forward to getting to know Florent better in season 2. We'll have to see what's next for him and Anna.
