RuPaul's Drag Race season 13 star Gottmik released a video lip syncing to Kylie Minogue's "Where Does The DJ Go?", and the veteran pop sensation reacted with an iconic shout-out. So far, the viewers have been loving Gottmik's performance on the show. After so many years of the fans asking the show to give a platform to more trans performers, the decision to cast a trans man on Drag Race finally happened. But aside from the historic nature of Gottmik's casting, this queen has also been slaying every challenge and proving that she could easily snatch the crown at the grand finale.
During the latest episode of RuPaul's Drag Race, the queens competed in a disco-themed maxi challenge that aimed to educate younger viewers about the history of this boundary-pushing music genre. Pair by pair, the queens danced their way to disco beats. In the end, Olivia Lux won her first maxi challenge. Alternatively, Kandy Muse and Tamisha Iman landed in the Bottom Two and had to lip sync for their lives to "Hit 'Em Up Style (Oops!)" by Blu Cantrell. Unfortunately, fan-favorite Tamisha Iman was sent home. Alas, the fans had nothing but compliments for how this veteran queen left the competition.
Over the weekend, Gottmik released a special video lip syncing to "Where Does The DJ Go?" by Kylie Minogue. The fans saw Gottmik's lip syncing abilities on the very first episode of season 13, but the queen has thankfully not landed in the bottom yet, so she hasn't been asked to lip sync for her life so far. As such, Gottmik decided to remind the fans what she can do by sharing a disco-themed lip sync video on Twitter. But the shocking part came later, when legendary popstar Kylie Minogue retweeted the video in question and gave Gottmik a shot-out. "DISCO. QUEEN!" Kylie wrote in a tweet. Gottmik then reacted with, "OOOOMG love you so much icon."
At this point, we're only six episodes into RuPaul's Drag Race season 13, which means that there are still a lot of iconic moments to come. Gottmik has been slaying every runway thus far, so the fans are surely expecting the queen to keep turning looks and stunting pretty all season long.
Only time will tell if Gottmik will snatch the Drag Race crown. For now, we will keep tuning in to watch the queen slaying every episode.
