DC Fan Art Reimagines The Bat Family As Professional Wrestlers

New DC Comics fan art depicts members of the Bat-Family like they've never been seen before, entering the ring as professional wrestlers! This incredible fan art series on Twitter has been titled "Bats in the Ring," and the collected pieces of art tell an amazing narrative that depicts Nightwing defending his title against Red Hood in an epic showdown for the ages. However, Red Hood then faces off with Terry Mcginnis' Batman Beyond as well.

This original fan art series comes from artist Kira Okamoto and was first posted back in 2019. However, Okamoto has recently reposted the artwork on social media as a "rerun" while also potentially teasing more showdowns to come. Naturally, seeing the Bat-Family entering the ring to deliver some intense beatdowns to a roaring crowd with all the lights and grandeur that comes from a pro-wrestling event is awesome, and it's a very clever crossover idea. Furthermore, the choice of fighters, in particular, is brilliant as fans get to see former Robins Nightwing and Red Hood duking it out with Dick Grayson defending his title as the reigning champion from the challenger Jason Todd.

Okamoto has the entire series of artwork on their Twitter page in one thread, featuring two epic brawls in the ring. While Nightwing shows off some impressive moves such as the Flying Grayson, he's eventually no match for the Red Hood, and Jason Todd eventually claims the crown and title as the new champion. However, he then defends his new status as king of the ring from the Batman of the Future, Terry Mcginnis, who eventually takes down Red Hood in epic fashion with a remixed wrestler costume that's prime for the ring:

Not only is the artwork itself extremely impressive and incredibly fun, but Okamoto also revealed interesting behind-the-scenes info and trivia featured in the thread with each individual piece. Additionally, the great thing about the Bat Family is that each member is so very different from one another, and yet they still share the common bond of family and the desire to seek justice alongside Batman. However, imagining a sibling rivalry like Dick Grayson and Jason Todd's getting so dramatized that it becomes an actual professional wrestling match is pure entertainment and joy for Bat-Family fans, plain and simple.

Okamoto also released a bonus image, revealing his version of Wally West as a "Speed Star," so perhaps there may be more DC wrestling showdowns to come in the near future? One can only hope. One of the image captions does identify Nightwing as the reigning "Titan." which obviously gets the mind turning as to what the Teen Titans would look like after getting the pro-wrestling remix treatment from Okamoto. While nothing's been confirmed by the epic fan artist as of yet, it would be really cool if Nightwing, Batman Beyond, and Red Hood were only the beginning of an ongoing DC wrestling art series.
