9 Best Quotes From Army Of The Dead | ScreenRant

Zack Synder's take on a zombie apocalypse has proven to be a hit with audiences, and the film Army Of The Dead ranks as one of Netflix's great thriller movies. This movie has a great balance of crazy action, scary zombies, comedy, and emotion. It doesn't just rely on the zombies themselves to make things exciting.

With a great array of characters, all of which have their own unique personalities, there is someone for everybody to get behind. These characters offer some winning quotes, and they offer a mix of genuinely heartfelt comments and hilarious one-liners.

9 "Everything We Did, All Those People We Saved, Look What It Got Us. What If Just Once, We Did Something For Us?"

The character of Scott Ward is quite an emotional one. Scott is a person who is open and honest with his feelings about the situation he finds himself in at the start of the movie. When the zombies first arrive, he isn't where he expects to be, and the fact he discusses that with Maria shows how it plagues him.

This moment sets up his film-long motivation, a desire to try and get his life back on track. It's a key quote from the movie, which makes it one of the best.

8 "If You Screw Me...Two Between The Eyes."

The Cayote (Lilly) is one of the most interesting characters in Army Of The Dead. She's someone who has a lot of experience when it comes to being inside Las Vegas. She helps to sneak people in, and she decides to help Martin with his secret plot.

While she eventually backstabs him, this fantastic quote is a great reminder of how she is not to be messed with. The Cayote makes it clear how she will react to being betrayed, and the fact she says that it will be two, with the second being "for fun," just makes this quote even better.

7 "It's A Goddamn Zombie Tiger. That's Crossing The Line."

One of the coolest zombies to appear in the movie is the zombie tiger. It's something completely unique and different that nobody expects to see and it certainly looks cool. However, it is also one of the scariest creatures in the entire movie as well, and Martin's initial reaction sums that up perfectly.

When he first sees the animal, Martin's thoughts are pretty much what everybody watching the movie is thinking. It's a step too far.

6 "What If I Took A Big Rock And Smashed It Into The Head? Would That Work?"

Dieter is one of the most exciting characters within Army Of The Dead, purely because he doesn't belong in that environment at all. He's not a killer like the rest of the group, instead, he's brought along to crack the code and get them into the safe.

However, he comes out with some of the funniest lines from the movie, which includes this at the team briefing. When Scott is going over what needs to be done to kill the zombies, Dieter asks this very specific question, despite Scott already telling them to aim for the head.

5 "Honey, Easy With The F-Bombs, Okay?"

The relationship between Scott and Kate is a strained one, with Scott hoping to set things right with his daughter by getting her the $15 million. However, when she decides to go into Las Vegas with them to find her friend, things become a little more complicated, and Kate loses her cool.

This leads to her going on a rant with plenty of swearing, which is when Scott's inner father comes out. He tells her to calm down on the swearing, to which she hilariously points out that they're about to go and kill zombies and possibly die, and he's worried about swear words.

4 "Within These Walls, The Rules Are Clear."

The great thing about Army Of The Dead is that there are clear and distinct rules about everything happening. The Cayote is the one who understands how the zombies work and behave, knowing there needs to be a sacrifice in order to allow them to roam around the outer skirts.

She makes it clear to them early on that there are rules that must be abided by, no matter what. Even those who were heroes during the initial outbreak have to learn to follow them, which is what makes this quote so important.

3 "Try Not To Get Nuked. Or Murdered By The Undead."

Kate and Scott's relationship might be a little frosty early on in the movie, and it's clear that they don't always see eye to eye. However, when Kate learns of what her father is attempting to do, she manages to show concern in her own way.

This funny one-liner showcases several things at once. While the quote is a little flippant, it also showcases the danger of the mission they're taking on and the overall seriousness of the zombies.

2 "Somewhere Between Leaving Your Ass And Saving My Own, I Developed A Conscience. It's Exhausting."

Marianne Peters is a great part of Army Of The Deadand her dry humor and wit are a lot of fun throughout the movie. She's not involved in a lot of the action; however, she comes out with this great line towards the end of the movie in the heat of an epic moment.

When Scott finally manages to save his daughter, the helicopter has gone, and it appears that Marianne has ditched them in order to save herself. However, that's not the case, as she comes back just in time, and when she does, this is the fantastic reasoning she provides.

1 "You're The Bravest Man I Know."

While the movie is built up around zombie killing, at its core, this is a story all about redemption and the love between a father and a daughter. Everything is about piecing their relationship back together again, and while it takes a lot of time for that to happen, they do eventually get their moment.

Kate telling her father exactly what she thinks about him, making it clear that she believes he's the bravest person she knows is exactly what he wants to hear. It's one of the most meaningful and emotional scenes within the movie and is an important part of the story.
