Fans of Animal Crossing: New Horizons who want to get their own Build-A-Bear of Tom Nook or Isabelle are in luck. According to an e-mail sent to mailing list servers, it appears that the massively popular collaboration will be restocked beginning May 3. If the response from the last time Animal Crossing Build-A-Bears were restocked is an indication, fans will need to be quick in order to snag one of these coveted toys.
These unique Build-A-Bears came thanks to a collaboration with Nintendo to release unique teddy bears for fans of Animal Crossing. Initially, Tom Nook and Isabelle were the only Animal Crossing characters that were available, but there has been talk that more villagers could be added soon. When the bears went on sale back on April 6, they quickly sold out, leaving many fans disappointed and waiting for supplies to be restocked. During the last restock on April 27, eager fans were advised to get into a digital "pre-waiting room" before the bears officially went on sale. Unfortunately for many fans, the toys, again, quickly sold out. Luckily, fans will not have to wait long for the next restock.
An e-mail from Build-A-Bear has been sent out to fans on their listserv, advising fans that the Animal Crossing collection will be restocked on May 3, 2021, beginning at 4:00 PM Central Standard Time. Once again, Build-A-Bear is offering consumers the chance to enter a virtual pre-waiting room 30 minutes ahead of the sale going live. Guests who join in the pre-waiting room will be given a random slot in the virtual line to get first access to the stock of Animal Crossing Build-A-Bears. For those who do not join the pre-waiting room, they will be placed at the back of the queue. Due to limited quantities and high demand, the best odds of getting a Build-A-Bear in this stock is to get into that virtual waiting room.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons has been a massive cultural impact during 2020. Fans have praised the game's interactive and calming gameplay, and been engrossed in building their own perfect island paradise. The popularity of Animal Crossing has inspired numerous collaborations including a makeup line with ColourPop Cosmetics that also sold out shortly after it became available.
For now, Animal Crossing fans will be gearing up to try their luck at landing the newest Build-A-Bear. For those who miss out on landing their own plush Tom Nook or Isabelle, never fret. Build-A-Bear has said that a mysterious third Animal Crossing villager will be joining this collection. Given the popularity of the Animal Crossings Build-A-Bears, it's a safe bet that there will be plenty of restocks in the future.
