In a recent episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?, Angela Deem attempted to use her “Southern charm” to sway her doctor’s mind, but fans are doubting how much charm she actually has. Though her larger-than-life attitude and wild antics initially appealed to fans, Angela has lost 90 Day Fiancé viewer support this season due to her selfish and unreasonable behavior. Based off of how she’s acted this season, fans are thinking Angela is more brassy than charming.
Most of Angela’s storyline on Happily Ever After has centered around her weight loss and cosmetic surgeries. After initially getting gastric sleeve surgery and breast reduction at the same time, which struck fans as odd, Angela should be in recovery mode. But she decided to get a facelift as well. However, her doctor this time around is much more strict and refuses to operate on her unless Angela quits smoking. He has even threatened a $1,500 fine on the 90 Day Fiancé star if he detects nicotine in her system before surgery.
Angela attempted to use her “Southern charm” to get the doctor to drop his strict anti-smoking requirements, though obviously it didn’t work. But 90 Day Fiancé fans couldn’t believe that Angela thought it would. “The word charm would never enter my mind concerning her, not in a trillion years,” a fan commented on Reddit. Many others pointed out that her long-time tobacco usage, brash voice, rude attitude and “openly lusting” after her doctors make her the very opposite of charming.
Though several fans attacked Angela’s appearance, most referenced her actions and behavior. They think the way she’s acted around her doctors is entirely inappropriate, and the way she treats her husband, Michael, is selfish and unfair. Many have praised Michael for putting up with the 90 Day Fiancé star's antics, though some still think he has ulterior motives. Fans feel that Angela uses her “Southernness” to excuse tasteless and offensive behavior, which they say makes her completely charmless.
Clearly, Angela’s “Southern charm” needs work because on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?, it did nothing to change her doctor’s mind. Many fans criticize Angela’s appearance, but really it’s her actions that aren’t charming. Viewers have come to see Angela as selfish and overly stubborn, and are becoming less and less interested in having her on their screens. If Angela thinks more about how her behavior affects other people and actually listens to her doctors, maybe she’ll gain back some of that “Southern charm” she was talking about.
