GTA Online Drivers' Stunt Looks Like Something Out Of Fast & Furious

In yet another display of death-defying virtual stuntwork, a pair of Grand Theft Auto Online players manage to land their cars on the roof of a hospital after an impressive jump. Rockstar’s multiplayer open world is the ideal playground for would-be daredevils, as evidenced by the large number of stunt videos that have already made the rounds on social media.

Aside from the stunt races that are already a part of GTA Online, players have managed to propel themselves across the fictional landscape of Los Santos on a motorbike or hijack a jet plane sneaking their racecar into Fort Zancudo. Of course, not every stunt that’s been attempted within the confines of GTA Online’s massive sandbox has gone off without a hitch, but when one comes together it is truly a sight to be shared and experienced by members of the game's expansive internet community.

As is the case with Reddit user (and noted GTA Online stuntperson) u/TheRealMurda10k, who posted their latest display of vehicular daring to the r/GTAOnline subreddit yesterday. In this new video clip, u/TheRealMurda10k and a friend jump their Arena Brutus SUVs off of the road, flip high into the air in glorious slow motion, and land effortlessly on the roof of a nearby hospital without a scratch between them. Once the stunt is finished, the two drivers pose victoriously atop their once airborne vehicles, cheerfully gloating to the masses that remain firmly on the ground.

Despite some technical difficulties back when the game first launched in 2013, Grand Theft Auto Online has become a popular gaming destination on par with its single-player component. 2020, in particular, was a banner year for Rockstar Games’ online playground, thanks to a combination of the COVID-19 pandemic bringing more adventurous gamers into cyberspace for some much-needed social distractions, a free giveaway on the Epic Games Store that literally broke the internet, and an alien gang war within the span of a single month.

U/TheRealMurda10k’s virtual stunts in GTA Online have always impressed, and this latest rooftop jump is no different. Just the way that the two cars instantly go from speeding down the highway to flipping through the air to landing perfectly on the top of the hospital is done to a science, and would even make Fast & Furious hero Dom Toretto a little jealous. The outside world may be slowly getting back to normal, but it looks like the madness is only going to continue in Grand Theft Auto Online, and players wouldn’t have it any other way.
