One of Disney's longest-running original series, Phineas and Ferb featured more episodes than almost any series on Disney Channel. Appealing to both kids and adults alike, one of the highlights of each episode was seeing the wild schemes and amazing inventions of both Phineas and Ferb, as well as the maniacal Dr. Doofenshmirtz.
Over the years, there have been some truly astounding creations, some of which could change the world if the characters wanted to release them to the public. However, for the most part, these inventions are used either for the kids to have fun during the summer vacation or to inadvertently foil Dr. Doofenshmirtz's plans.
10 Time Machine
In the season 1 episode "It's About Time," Phineas and Ferb take up an interest in history. After a trip to a museum that boasted artifacts from the prehistoric age, they set to work constructing a machine that would allow them to travel through time ala fan-favorite sci-fi movies. With Isabella helping with the finishing touches, the machine actually worked.
Unfortunately, after it is broken, the gang gets stranded in the past, with Candace panicking at the situation. Luckily, Isabella and her Fireside Girls are to the rescue, helping everyone return to the present day. It's an incredible piece of machinery and one that would be revisited in the series again.
9 Shrinking Submarine
The season 1 episode "Journey to the Center of Candace" saw the boys have to make a tough decision. They couldn't decide whether to build a submarine or a shrink ray, so they ended up creating both, with the shrinking submarine becoming the perfect invention to retrieve Isabella's sash from her dog's stomach.
Candace ends up eating the cheese toastie designed for the dog, and Phineas and Ferb consequently get swallowed by their sister. The step-brothers eventually manage to force Candace to sneeze, leaving her in an awkward position on her date with Jeremy.
8 Treehouse Robots
"Tree To Get Ready," a season 1 episode of the show, saw Phineas and Ferb level up their old Treehouse. In doing so, they also built one for Candace so that she could join in on the fun. It looked like a great piece of engineering, and Candace even enjoyed herself.
The most incredible part about this design though was that the treehouses actually turned into giant two robots. Candace and Stacy fought Phineas and Ferb across the city, eventually deciding after the dust had settled that their conflict had ended in a tie.
7 Phinedroids And Ferbots
Although they were great inventions, things quickly soured for Phineas and Ferb in the season 1 episode "I, Brobot." The boys decided that they would create a bunch of robots in order to carry out their many plans, so they could achieve everything they wanted before summer ended.
It turned out that all the fun was taken out of these adventures, though, and the droids quickly turned on their owners. Luckily, even as they spiraled out of control, they continued to sing their tune—one of the catchiest heard throughout the Phineas and Ferb series—and could be defeated simply by being forced to dance.
6 Delete From My Mind-Inator
The season 2 episode "Tip Of The Day" featured the incredibly famous aglet song as the gang tried to remember what the plastic bit at the end of a shoelace is called. During the same episode, Dr. Doofenshmirtz creates a device that can wipe people's minds of a specific memory.
The application of this device would be incredible if used in the real world, but, rather than helping people overcome significant traumas or forgetting painful things, instead, Dr. Doof tried to erase the memory of his embarrassing viral video. As per usual, it didn't really work out as he planned.
5 Teleporters
In season 1's "Does This Duckbill Make Me Look Fat?," Phineas and Ferb create a teleportation device. The plan is to be able to move someone from one hoop to the other, but everything goes wrong when Candace falls through while holding Perry The Platypus.
The device actually swaps their brains, making for a hilarious situation. With Candace's body, Perry going on a secret mission, and Perry-Candace must try and survive her date with Jeremy. The invention itself is amazing, though, and was proven to work on a fly after the situation was rectified.
4 Perry's Jet Car
While most of the inventions in the show are created by the evil Dr. or by Phineas and Ferb, one of the greatest devices is actually owned by Perry The Platypus. The secret agent uses a lot of neat inventions in the field, but none are better than his hovercar.
Full of intriguing gizmos and great weapons, the car can fly, and it even has a cup-holder. Perry has become quite reliant on the device, although he does have an array of other transportation options such as a jetpack and a bike shaped like him.
3 Least Likely-Inator
Throughout the show—which was actually one of many worked on by series creator Jeff "Swampy" Marsh—Dr. Doofenshmirtz has demonstrated that he has a long-term rivalry with his much more handsome and successful brother. He, therefore, creates a device called the Least Likely-Inator, which, when aimed at his nemesis, will cause him to do the least likely thing in a given scenario.
In the season 3 episode "Misperceived Monotreme," he tries to put his plan into action, hoping the device will force his brother to mess up his big speech. However, it is thwarted thanks to Perry's interference. In theory, though, Dr. Doof was playing with the laws of probability and reality themselves.
2 Virtual Video Game World
Phineas and Ferb love to play games, and so it wasn't too surprising to see them create a virtual world for the gang to explore in the season 2 episode "Gaming The System." As is often the case, though, Candace's interference results in everything going wrong.
Their sister gets trapped inside this fictional world that the group has created, and they must therefore rescue her from this terrifying adventure. With VR being developed in new ways in the real world, this idea takes the concept to a new level.
1 Other-Dimension-Inator
The 2020 special Candace Against The Universe answered a few lingering questions fans had after the main Phineas and Ferb series ended. The Disney+ movie was to be a major comeback for the franchise, but that wasn't the first feature-length film in the series. Previously, Disney had released Phineas and Ferb The Movie: Across the Second Dimension.
The adventure saw the family team up with Perry The Platypus who was revealed to be a secret agent to them for the first time. The incredible Other-Dimension-Inator, created by the Doctor, allowed the group to travel through portals to alternate realities.
