The new A Very Slow Discovery Collection challenge is here in Pokémon Go and requires players to find and catch four Pokémon. Pokémon Go continues to add new content for its players to enjoy. One specific kind of challenge is the Timed Research Tasks. These only last from a couple of days to a few weeks and urge the player to be active in the game to complete them. Collection Challenges in Pokémon Go provide players with valuable rewards upon completion. Players will be given an exclusive medal that acts as a trophy for completing it. Medals also stack with each Collection Challenge players have already completed. The new Collection Challenge is part of the "A Very Slow Discovery" event taking place in Pokémon Go.
The "A Very Slow Discovery" event runs from June 8th to June 13th and focuses on Pokémon Go's newest addition, Galarian Slowpoke. Throughout the event, players can expect an increased spawn rate of slower Pokémon, including Gulpin, Slakoth, Spoink, and more. Players will want to complete this Collection Challenge before it's too late since it provides a medal and a collectors T-shirt. Here is how to complete the A Very Slow Discovery Collection Challenge in Pokémon Go.
There are only four Pokémon players must collect to complete the "A Very Slow Discovery" Collection Challenge. Here is how players can collect them all.
- Slowpoke: This Pokémon can be found in the wild. Alternatively, players can complete the Field Research Task in which players catch eight Water or Psychic Pokémon to unlock Slowpoke.
- Galarian Slowpoke: This Pokémon can be found in 1-star raids or by completing the Field Research Task in which they win a raid in under 60 seconds or evolve three Slowpokes.
- Slowbro: Players will need 50 Slowpoke Candy to evolve Galarian Slowpoke into Slowbro.
- Slowking: Players will need 50 Slowpoke Candy and a King's Rock to evolve Galarian Slowpoke into Slowking.
This Collection Challenge shouldn't be too difficult to complete. Obtaining Slowpoke Candy is prime right now since spawn rates are boosted for the event. Once this special event comes to a close, all the benefits and Collection Challenge rewards will expire along with it. More Pokémon Go events are planned for June, so it will be interesting to see what replaces the A Very Slow Discovery event.
Pokémon Go is available now on iOS and Android.
