It seems like most 90 Day Fiancé stars need to hone their Photoshop skills, considering how many cast members have been caught in photo editing fails, and we're going to showcase the most dramatically botched pics today. Some franchise fans take offense to their favorite stars using FaceApp and FaceTune since they already know what they look like.
Currently, many franchise celebrities, including Angela Deem, Colt Johnson, and Jorge Nava, have started looking unrecognizable thanks to drastic weight loss. Other 90 Day Fiancé reality stars, including Rose Vega, Deavan Clegg, Natalie Mordovtseva, Rebecca Parrott, and Darcey Silva, change their online appearances with editing software.
The issue is that Photoshop quick fixes that make franchise cast members and alums look thinner often end up getting mocked instead of praised. The biggest and most ridiculous photo fails from the 90 Day Fiancé universe get some amusing fan reactions. Certain Photoshop fails have actually gotten quite a bit of attention in the press.
Former franchise star Rose has become a feminist role model and Internet icon since her 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days stint with Big Ed Brown. Lately, Rose's visuals on her @rose_vega_official Instagram and other online platforms are so stunning that fans are blown away by the Filipina's newfound glamour.
Since her makeover, Rose looks very different than she did in her early TLC days. While her supporters insist that the changes are due to make-up, critics are quick to point out that Prince’s mom uses Photoshop. A bizarre photo of Rose (which is shown above) from a recent outing at the Venice Grand Canal Mall featured the caption, “you like the view?” However, 90 Day Fiancé fans could only focus on Rose’s foot, which was compared to a basketball player's. Rose laughed off the filter jokes and replied to a fan with, “My foot it’s look like my long legs 😂 just kidding anyway it’s part of my best view 😂🥰”
Deavan's @deavanclegg Instagram posts garner plenty of snarky comments, thanks to her failed relationship with Korean husband Jihoon Lee. While fans often ask Deavan if toddler Taeyang will ever get to see his dad again, half of the comments are dedicated to the 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way star’s unrecognizable face. At first, fans thought it was plastic surgery that was making Deavan look like a different person on IG. However, they soon speculated that it was her obsession with filters and FaceApp. Deavan finally admitted to liking filters and using them, but fans still appear shocked every time they see a new Photoshop fail, such as a third lip or an arm that’s extremely thin.
Speaking of arms, 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? star Natalie has also posted shots that seem to feature bad Photoshop. In fact, she's done so plenty of times. The shot above, with its deflated arm and tiny head, takes the cake. During her 90 Day Fiancé season 8 stint, Natalie appeared to be curvier than usual. Fans also noticed a change in her appearance when they checked out her social media updates. Pregnancy rumors were circulating, along with speculation that she'd gotten breast implants. However, some franchise fans ultimately deduced that it was Natalie trying to make her waist thinner with a body shaping tool that was making her pics look a little strange.
One of Natalie’s posts, which she quickly deleted, showed her with large eyes. Some fans felt that her eyes appeared to be popping out of her small head. Natalie may have been embarrassed when the pic was featured by Daily Mail. The TLC star appeared to mistakenly post the unedited version of the picture. Fans who saw the pics wondered if Natalie was ok after seeing her deflated arm with long fingers, which was very likely heavily tweaked with photo editing software. “What happened to you?” one fan asked.
It was Rebecca who revealed her interest in filters during her introduction on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. The Georgia native used them to look better while chatting with her younger Tunisian love interest, Zied Hakimi. Since then, Rebecca has been open about her editing her pics and has even told her Instagram followers about the particular FaceApp filter that she uses. After several 90 Day Fiancé spin-offs, fans still find alleged mistakes in Rebecca’s edited pics. They also encourage her to embrace her natural self.
Comments such as “please stop with the filters! We know you don’t really look like this,” are common on Rebecca’s page. Meanwhile, after getting fillers and Botox at age 50, Rebecca has started going filter-free on IG, and she also skips the glam makeup sometimes during LIVEs. However, Rebecca is still Photoshopping her photos at times, which irks fans.
The 90 Day Fiancé fandom is used to seeing filtered pics of Darcey and Stacey Silva. Last year, fans saw Darcey posting several photos to her stories that allegedly featured her face Photoshopped onto another woman's body. The pics were promoting the twins' House of Eleven fashion brand. On doing a reverse image search, some fans believed that they found the original photos of the influencer whose body seemed to be in Darcey’s photo.
These altered images seemed to feature sloppy photo editing, which seemingly gave away the fact that they were heavily Photoshopped. Some other pictures were modified versions of older pics, which fans had seen before. In one of those photos, Darcey’s face seemed to be on a slimmer body. There were also photos of the 90 Day Fiancé star’s daughters Aspen and Aniko, which appeared to feature their heads Photoshopped onto other bodies. These creeped out fans.
With TV cameras giving viewers an up-close and personal view of the lives of these reality show stars, fans see them at their best and worst. Viewers get familiar with what reality stars really look like. When used in moderation and with expertise, Photoshop and other similar apps can enhance images, rather than making pictures look different and fake. The criticism from fans may sometimes prompt 90 Day Fiancé stars to block them, or delete their comments, or even go private. If these stars hire pros to take care of their photo editing, they might get less backlash.
