Comic-Con at Home 2021: Schedule & How To Watch | Screen Rant

San Diego Comic-Con is opting for an online format for the second year in a row, and here’s how, where, and when to watch each panel. The coronavirus pandemic put the entertainment industry on hold for months, with the production of many movies and TV shows shutting down temporarily and many movies having to be either delayed or sent to different streaming platforms. Conventions were also affected by the pandemic as they had to be canceled, or in some cases, they had to adapt to a different format, as was the case of San Diego Comic-Con.

San Diego Comic-Con has gained the reputation of being the biggest and most important convention in the entertainment industry, covering movies, TV shows, streaming, comic books, and more. 2020 marked the first time the convention had to be canceled since its establishment in the 1970s, but fans were given the opportunity to watch panels of their favorite movies and TV shows online, which also gave more people the chance of “attending” the convention without having to travel or putting themselves at risk during the pandemic. The convention is following those steps again in 2021 before a “special edition” takes place in November, so fans will once more get the chance to attend the convention from the comfort of their homes.

Of course, even though the panels will be streamed, fans might want to plan their San Diego Comic-Con experience in order to watch as many of their favorite panels as they can, and here’s all you need to know about the 2021 edition of San Diego Comic-Con.

San Diego Comic-Con takes place in July of every year and usually covers four days, with the biggest panels saved for Friday and Saturday, and this year’s “at home” edition won’t be the exception. San Diego Comic-Con 2021 will start on Wednesday, July 21 (though there’s only one panel that day), and will end on Sunday, July 25.

Another advantage of an online version of San Diego Comic-Con is that attendees don’t have to pay to have access to the panels of their choice, as they will all stream for free. All you have to do is go to the official Comic-Con Youtube channel and watch the panels you’re interested in, and many of them were filmed prior to the convention.

SDCC has become well-known for housing some of the biggest, most important panels in entertainment, as are those of Marvel Studios, DC Films, and Star Wars, with studios saving their biggest announcements and most anticipated teasers and trailers for the convention. Unfortunately, Marvel Studios and DC Films will skip the online convention, but fans can still enjoy some big panels, as are those of Doctor Who, Dragon Ball, Rick and Morty, The Simpsons, Netflix Geeked, and more.

The full schedule for San Diego Comic-Con at Home 2021 was revealed right on time for fans to plan accordingly, and here’s every panel and when to tune in to the official YouTube channel to watch them:
