Every Upcoming Chris Pratt Movie & Show | Screen Rant

Best known these days for his starring role in Guardians of the Galaxy and its sequels, Chris Pratt is keeping busy with a slew of new movies and shows. Audiences worldwide first fell in love with Pratt thanks to his memorable role in Parks & Recreation, and the talented actor soon caught the eye of director James Gunn. The first Guardians of the Galaxy film in 2014 catapulted Pratt to superstardom, and he soon found himself headlining the Jurassic World franchise for Universal and appearing in everything from sci-fi films to animated adventures.

Chris Pratt is currently one of the busiest and most sought-after celebrities in Hollywood. As of 2021, he has appeared in four films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and both of the Jurassic World movies. Both of these franchises have kept him busy for the last seven years, and they'll be keeping him busy for quite a bit longer. Pratt still has another two confirmed MCU appearances coming up in the near future, and he'll also be concluding the Jurassic World trilogy next year in Jurassic World: Dominion.

In addition to his franchise work, Pratt is also set to headline a new sci-fi movie later in 2021 and is headlining a new streaming series for Amazon Prime. It's clear that Pratt's innumerable fans will be just as busy watching all of these new productions as Pratt will be while making them. Here are all of the films and TV shows that audiences can expect to see Christ Pratt star in over the next few years.

The next film to star Chris Pratt isn't too long of a wait away. The Tomorrow War is set to drop on Amazon Prime on July 2, 2021, and features Pratt in the lead role of soldier Dan Forester. Time travelers from 2051 arrive in the present year of 2021 with a grave warning: in the future, aliens have invaded Earth and engaged in a war against humanity, and humanity is losing. The travelers request that soldiers from the present return with them to the future to fight the invasion and attempt to change history, and Forester joins the mission to protect his daughter from the coming war.

The third and final entry in the Jurassic World trilogy will see Christ Pratt return as Owen Grady, the charismatic raptor trainer who witnessed both the fall of the Jurassic World theme park and the escape of dinosaurs onto the mainland. While much of the movie's plot remains under wraps, Dominion will be a science-thriller that delves into the dangers of genetic engineering and its consequences for humankind. Owen will likely be faced with difficult decisions regarding Blue, the raptor he raised from infancy, and with whom he shares a deep connection.

One of Pratt's only non-franchise appearances in the near future, The Terminal List, is an upcoming thriller/drama streaming series that will air on Amazon Prime in early 2022. Based on the novel by Jack Carr, the series will see Pratt play Navy SEAL James Reece, who survives an ambush during a covert mission that sees his entire platoon wiped out. Haunted by the incident and dealing with survivor's guilt, Reece returns home to discover that the cause of the incident goes deeper than he ever imagined. As Reece seeks the truth, dark forces threaten to remove both him and his loved ones from play.

The highly anticipated fourth film in the Thor franchise, Thor: Love and Thunder, will see Pratt return to the role of Star-Lord for the fifth time. The charismatic rogue will team up with Thor and a cast of colorful characters to take on a galaxy-trotting adventure that will pit them against Gorr the God Butcher. The 29th film in the MCU has seen a delay in the release date, but it's currently set for May 2022.

After multiple delays and behind-the-scenes drama, Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 3 will finally arrive in theaters on May 23, 2023. While the plot is currently unknown, Chris Pratt is obviously on tap to play Starlord alongside regular Guardians of the Galaxy players Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, Bradly Cooper, Karen Gillan, and Vin Diesel.
