There were many big news stories from the 90 Day Fiancé franchise that shocked fans. TLC announced that 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way was returning with season 3, as fans also admitted to enjoying Love in Paradise on Discovery Plus. Season 2 of Darcey & Stacey was met with mixed reviews, as the Silva twins and their drastic transformations continued to shock fans. Season 1 star Paola Mayfield sparked rumors of divorce from Russ, Ariela Weinberg’s face in the TOW trailer looked very different, and so did Chantel Jimeno’s nose also spurred conversations about plastic surgery.
However, Emily Larina’s devastating revelation broke many hearts, as 90 Day Fiancé fans were looking forward to her starting a new life in Russia with Sasha. Molly Hopkins had a major make-up blunder, and Rebecca Parrott’s unfiltered look was exposed by Zied Hakimi himself.
For those bored with the same recycled storylines and mundane couples of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? TLC releasing the trailer of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 3 came as a happy surprise. With past favorites like Armando Rubio and Kenneth Niedermeier and Ariela Weinberg and Biniyam Shibre coming back, the show is also introducing two new pairs, Ellie and Victor and Steven and Alina. However, fans were divided about Sumit Singh and Jenny Slatten returning, some predicting that they won’t get married in season 3 either, while some applauding her for growing a backbone. But mostly, the one couple that many fans swear the spin-off could have done without is Evelin Villegas and Corey Rathgeber who they suspect have already been married for ages, amidst their cheating scandals.
A certain news article about Stephanie Davison going missing was supposedly circulated on Instagram, including Larissa Lima posting a swipe-up link for it. The speculations about the season 8 star scared fans especially since Stephanie’s last IG post was over a month ago, amidst her being asked to retract her alleged COVID-19 claims by the Michigan Attorney General. Stephanie, who’d been spotted in a thrifted Kim Kardashian skirt last, came back to snap at the rumors with a cryptic post showing only her torso that ended her social media hiatus. Ryan Carr’s 90 Day Fiancé ex revealed that she’d been busy between pool parties and concerts, and wouldn’t really mind going “missing for a couple of months.”
It’s official, the notorious Big Ed, who fans wanted to be canceled from 90 Day Fiancé had bagged a new spin-off, yet again. The same was confirmed by TLCMe who shared Big Ed’s journey so far in the franchise, with the text, “see what's next for him on 90 Day: The Single Life.” Big Ed has been mocked for his interest in dating women half his age, and putting them in uncomfortable spots, since his debut on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. Rosemarie Vega was repeatedly insulted by Big Ed, and after his breakup with Liz Marie on The Single Life, a disturbing phone call was leaked on Instagram. “I'll always love you, but I can't be with you,” Big Ed had told Liz on the troubling call before bursting into a barrage of curse words. Amid this, Big Ed coming back to the season 2 of The Single Life, who’s also rumored to have Natalie Mordovtseva in it, is not something that fans expected.
90 Day Fiancé season 7 star Emily Larina, who had last confirmed she was moving to Russia with her husband Alexander “Sasha" Larin, is still in the U.S. Emily, who had an issue getting her visa on time, and Sasha, who is currently in Russia helping set up things there, had a miscarriage a few weeks ago. Emily and Sasha were expecting their fourth child in January 2022, as per their announcement in June. Sasha has two kids, Daniel and Roman, from his two previous marriages. His third child with Emily, David Alexandrovich, is a 90 Day Fiancé fan favorite. In her statement, Emily accepted that there is always a “certain amount of risk when announcing a pregnancy early.” The TLC star Emily shared that she’s been working on grieving and healing and thanked her followers for have been checking up on her, because of her being absent from social media in recent weeks.
