Channing Tatum shares a cute video from the set of The Lost City of D with Sandra Bullock celebrating the film wrapping principal production. Development on the film was first announced this past October when Bullock signed on to star in the film and directing duo Aaron and Adam Nee were attached to direct based on a script from Horrible Bosses director Seth Gordon and Cruella co-writer Dana Fox. Tatum would join the film two months later and casting would begin building even quicker with Patti Harrison, Daniel Radcliffe, Da'Vine Joy Randolph, Oscar Nunez and Brad Pitt all joining shortly thereafter.
The Lost City of D centers on a reclusive romance novelist who sets off on a book tour with her cover model, though the duo find themselves swept up in a kidnapping attempt that lands them both in a cutthroat jungle adventure. When first announced, the film was described as an "old-fashioned star vehicle" for Tatum and Bullock. Production got underway on the film in May and appears to have moved along quicker than some may have anticipated.
Nearly three months after starting production on the film, Tatum took to Twitter to share a video from the set of The Lost City of D. Announcing principal photography has wrapped on the film, the cute video sees Tatum lifting up his co-star and jumping into a water tank one last time as they both laugh. Check out the video below:

With the film being described as such and the swashbuckling genre often necessitating a strong connection between its leads, it's nice to see that Tatum and Bullock seem to have a nice chemistry with one another. Even if the video sees the former practically dragging his co-star into the water tank, the fun the two have appeared to have with one another while filming The Lost City of D should hopefully translate to a good pairing in the film itself. The video also offers a brief glimpse at the practicality of the sets seen in the film, with the large water tank decorated as a shoreline acting as a promising tease of some of the action audiences can expect to see.
The bigger point of anticipation with audiences now becomes whether The Lost City of D can eclipse the jungle-set fun just enjoyed with Disney's Jungle Cruise. With both critics and audiences highlighting the chemistry between stars Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt in their first pairing, it will be interesting to see if Bullock and Tatum can capture similar success. Only time will tell when The Lost City of D hits theaters on April 15, 2022.
