Halo & Baby Yoda LEGO Crossover Recreates Master Chief's Cloaked Look

As Halo fans already know, Master Chief wore a tattered brown clock during the debut trailer for 2015’s Halo 5: Guardians, though it was completely absent from the game itself. Strangely enough, this clock bears some similarities to the one worn by Grogu, the infant member of Jedi Master Yoda’s species. The "baby Yoda" became an internet sensation overnight when he first appeared in The Mandalorian’s first season in 2019. However, one fan took notice of the similarity between the little creature's robe and the one belonging to Master Chief.

Yesterday, Reddit user Mer_The_Blur posted a picture of their Halo/Star Wars building toy mash-up to r/halo. This cute hybrid model consists of the Mega Construx Halo Infinite Master Chief Helmet set placed on top of the LEGO Star Wars The Child set. Truthfully, it looks like the Chief wearing the cloak he sported during Halo 5: Guardians’ debut trailer – or, as some fans humorously pointed out in the comments section, the Master Chief wearing a snuggie.

Halo fans have much to look forward to in the next few months, as Halo celebrates its 20^th anniversary in 2021. Additionally, 343 Industries will finally release the latest installment in the long-running and highly transformative Halo series, Halo Infinite in December. Players have already gotten a sneak preview of what the new game has in store thanks to a multiplayer beta test last weekend, during which players uncovereded weird glitches and gameplay quirks like melee weapons that grant rapid-fire kills or grenades spawning wet floor signs.

Meanwhile, Mer_The_Blur’s Master Chief/Grogu hybrid model is a cute and funny mash-up between two beloved sci-fi franchises, one that would put a smile on even the most hardened Mandalorian bounty hunter or Spartan soldier. Fans will get to see more of the Master Chief in action when Halo Infinite makes its long-awaited release on December 8, though it doesn’t look like he’ll be wearing a cloak in that game either.
