A Reinvented Hulk Threatens The Planet in Epic Trailer for New Era

Warning! Spoilers for Hulk #1 by Marvel Comics

Marvel Comics' newest Hulk series is coming soon, and to hype up the Jade Giants adventures, the publisher just shared a brand new trailer showing the reinvented heroes' adventures. In the trailer, the Hulk has become something else, and nobody, from the Avengers to the villains of the Marvel Universe, can stop him. The Donny Cates and Ryan Ottley series looks to be a smashing take on one of Marvel's most iconic characters.

The new Hulk series comes on the heels of Al Ewing and Joe Bennett's 50-issue Immortal Hulk series, which will be remembered as one of the greatest single runs on the hero ever. The comic reinvented the Hulk's origin and story in new and exciting ways. Now, Cates and Ottley are bringing the Hulk back to his more action-packed roots, as the Thor writer and Invincible artist are taking Bruce Banner in a different direction than their predecessors. While Immortal Hulk will be a tough act to follow, early previews of Hulk #1 should have readers excited about what's to come next.

In a new trailer for Hulk #1, the Hulk is immortal no more. The motion video for the comic shows the Hulk's rage will be felt across the globe. The military can't kill him and not even the Avengers can stop him. In response, Bruce Banner will reinvent the Hulk as the trailer showcases Bruce Banner being behind a device on the Hulk's head (that seemingly gives him some kind of control). The teaser shows the Hulk battling against a full armored MODOK, as well as one of Tony Stark's Hulkbusters.

Cates has done an impressive job at bringing something new to each classic character he tackles for Marvel Comics. He reinvented symbiote in his Venom series with Ryan Stegman and co-created a horrifying villain in the King in Black. And in his current Thor run, the God of Thunder's connection to his hammer has gotten weaker, as he's also teased one of the most epic versions of Thanos to ever exist. With the Hulk, it seems like both he and Ottley aren't afraid to try something different and reinvent the character for the new series.

Cates and Ottley's take on the Hulk is still a few weeks away, but the teaser video should have readers excited for the next chapter of the hero's story. Considering both creators' previous works, the Hulk's new adventures will be unpredictable, action-packed, and a can't miss series. The Jade Giant will be reinvented when Hulk #1 by Marvel Comics comes to comic book stores on November 24, 2021.
