Learning how to destroy Corruption Clusters and all their fragments is important for a Fortnite season 8 challenge. The season has brought along massive changes to the map. After the alien invasion that took over during season 7, many of the locations of the map have been riddled with extraterrestrial debris and mysterious cubes. This was due to when players were able to play the season 7 ending event, Operation: Sky Fire. Players were able to work together to bring down the alien invaders.
Because of this, one of the most mysterious locations this season lies at the center of the map with the Convergence. This area is filled with cubes and features platforms for players to jump on top of for extra height. This is also the centerpiece of one of Fortnite's newest challenges. Players will need to learn how to destroy Corruption Clusters but they will have to make them appear first.
This challenge is a part of the Dark Jonesy Oracle questline. As with all the other NPCs this season, they will provide the player with five different challenges to complete. There's even a Scuba Jonesy location in Fortnite season 8. In order to unlock the next challenge, players will need to finish the quest that comes before it. It's important to mention that Dark Jonesy Oracle functions differently than Dark Jonesy, who was another NPC with his own set of quests. Jonesy is a character with multiple alternate versions due to rips in reality from previous seasons. This is the entire Dark Jonesy Oracle questline.
- Collect scrolls at different IO Bases: 30K XP.
- Use a Shadow Stone, then recover the Spirit Vessel: 30K XP.
- Touch a Cube: 30K XP.
- Destroy the Corruption Cluster and all Corruption Fragments: 30K XP.
- Return the Spirit Vessel to the Oracle and hear his Vision: 30K XP.
The 'Destroy the Corruption Cluster' challenge in Fortnite is the fourth quest in the Dark Jonesy questline. Players will need to clear out the first three to access it. At any point, players can look at their Quest Tab to find the location of every NPC in Fortnite season 8. Players should have room in their Quests Lists to complete this challenge. All of the Corruption Clusters can be found in the same location. Players will need to head to the center of the map to complete it.

- To the northwest of the Convergence.
- To the east of the Convergence.
- To the south of the Convergence.
Players will notice clusters come in the form of a bright purple glowing ball of light. Use the Fortnite harvesting tool to break it into smaller pieces. Run around the area and continue to hit the remaining pieces with the pickaxe. Once all of them are gone, head over to the next group of Corruption Clusters and repeat the process. Players will be rewarded with 30,000 XP towards their Battle Pass. This remains one of the fastest ways to level up in Fortnite season 8. This will also unlock the final quest in the Dark Jonesy Oracle questline.
