Even though the friendship contract with NeNe Leakes may have been a joke, Cynthia has always taken her relationships with the other women seriously. Cynthia spoke to Screen Rant to give an update on where her friendship with Kenya stands today. Viewers saw the first episode of RHUGT where Cynthia honored her friend for leaving her young daughter behind, but it seems that their relationship went awry whilst in Turks and Caicos. Cynthia shared that "The dynamic of the friendship definitely changed after the trip, and I was not given the opportunity to address some of the final things I wanted to say to her on the show."

Cynthia shared that Kenya did reach out to her once cameras had stopped rolling, saying, "for me here's where I am with Kenya; I love Kenya. I'm always going to have love for her. However, we don't have to be close friends. I think our relationship is where it is just now." The Bailey Wine Cellar owner shared that she was happy that they were in a respectful place. Noting that a lot of times, these arguments between housewives can often turn nasty with each "dragging each other on social media, all that nonsense that grown woman should not want to do to each other, especially if they were ever real friends."  The Games People Play actress revealed that she was comfortable with where her friendship currently was with Kenya, insisting "there is still a lot of love there." Even though the two women are no longer close, Cynthia is happy to still love and support her friend.

All in all, Cynthia had a blast taking part in the first Real Housewives mash-up, which she felt honored to be a part of. She has left the island with a set of new friends, and even though she is not returning to RHOA, she sees a bright future ahead for herself. When asked what she might have up her sleeve, Cynthia revealed that she is excited to display some of her other lesser-known talents. Whether it is showing off her cooking skills or her love of wallpaper, she is more than ready to share her creative side with everyone who supports her.
