WWE Ruthless Aggression Clip Shows Innovations in the Ring [Exclusive]

A brand new clip from the wrestling docuseries WWE Ruthless Aggression depicts the construction of an enormous cage. Ruthless Aggression is the subsequent series to WWE Network's Monday Night War, following the WWE into the Ruthless Aggression Era. This era ran from 2002 to 2008 after the company bought WWC and ECW at the end of the Attitude Era. With so many wrestlers on the roster, WWE split the talent between Raw and SmackDown! in a brand extension, making the careers of many wrestlers who are still iconic today, including wrestlers-turned-actors Dave Bautista and John Cena.

WWE Ruthless Aggression streams on Peacock and airs on the WWE Network elsewhere. The first season premiered last year, following WWE through the rivalries created by its brand extension. The upcoming 5-episode second season will premiere on November 21, 2021, with the remaining episodes dropping the following day, November 22, 2021. The first episode is titled "Hollywood Rock" and will follow The Rock through his generation-defining heel turn.

Screen Rant can exclusively reveal a brand new clip from the upcoming season, from the forthcoming Innovations episode. The scene depicts the building of the massive cage that would be lowered over the ring. Viewers will be able to see the reactions from a few of the six wrestlers who were set to duke it out within the cage's confines. Even for some of the world's most prominent men, the cage was a daunting sight to witness. Check out the video below:

Not much is currently known about the shape of the second season following its first episode. However, the Innovations episode will likely explore new concepts brought to the fore during this era, including the cage seen in the clip above. These include the Money in the Bank ladder match, which began in 2005, more or less halfway through the Ruthless Aggression era, and continues to this day.

WWE Ruthless Aggression is geared toward nostalgic wrestling fans and newcomers who are unaware of the company's history. Hardcore fans probably already followed most of the events as they happened but will now be gaining insight into the way the people putting these matches together felt about it at the time, using archive footage from behind-the-scenes that has been compiled especially for the docuseries. Newbies will get all this insight as well, in addition to a step-by-step guide to the era that might otherwise take years to rewatch.
