Saturday Night Live star Pete Davidson is getting support from his friends and fans after the actor posted a questionable post on Instagram that some thought seemed suicidal. Davidson made his debut on SNL in 2014, which just so happened to be the same time his ex-fiancé Ariana Grande performed as the musical guest on the show.
2018 has been a rough year for Davidson. Not only did he break up with his then-girlfriend Cazzie David, but his engagement to pop star Ariana Grande was also called off this year. Davidson was also recently caught in a controversy surrounding a joke about congressional candidate Dan Crenshaw, which Davidson had to apologize for on the air. Davidson was also chosen to respond on a Weekend Update segment to Kanye West's outbursts during the season 44 premiere, which sparked even more drama for the show. With all of this in mind, his fans and friends are now showing him support due to one of his more recent posts on Instagram.

Davidson has been shown support in the past when faced with his struggle with mental health, but this time even his ex-fiancé Grande rushed to the set of Saturday Night Live to make sure he was all right. Davidson has appeared in a few movies throughout his career, including Trainwreck and Set It Up, but he is mostly known for his role on Saturday Night Live. While Davidson is no doubt a growing star, he has been open in the past about his borderline personality disorder, depression, and struggles with sobriety. The actor seemed to generate a lot of hate when he started dating Grande, following Mac Miller's death, but Davidson again received a lot of negative attention when he was mentioned in Grande's "Thank U, Next" music video.
Even though it seems that Davidson is in a tough spot right now, it's reassuring that so many people are supporting him on social media and in person. Since Davidson has deleted all of his social media accounts, it will be harder for fans to keep updated on the actor, but fans can look forward to his return on Saturday Night Live when the show returns for the second half of season 44 in 2019.
