The Masked Singer’s Super 9: Who Is Frog? | Screen Rant

The Masked Singer Super 9 is down to eight already and Frog is pulling out all the stops. Who is frog and how do this week's new clues line up with our prediction?

Since week one we've stayed steadfast in our assertation that Frog is rapper Bow Wow. This week didn't change that prediction. When he performed "Jump" By Kris Kross, there was a significance pointed out in his very first performance clue package where he said he was a tadpole when he started out who swam with the big frogs from jump. Bow Wow started at the same label as Kris Kross. This week's performance was clearly a nod to that. His super clue was a knight in armor. This was an easy clue for Bow Wow fans, who know his Like Mike character played for a fictional basketball team called the Knights.

This week, Frog informed the panelists, who seem to be the only people who haven't figured out who he is, that he is not a trained dancer. While no one will deny that the rapper, born Shad Moss, has some moves, there is no evidence that he has professional dance training of any kind. This doesn't mean he doesn't still get the title of triple threat because as the panelists pointed out, you don't have to be a trained professional dancer to be a good dancer. Another large clue given for all of group B was that they had all been interviewed by Oprah. Bow Wow fits this clue as he did appear on The Oprah Winfrey Show when he was younger

The previous clues in his group B performance all fit the actor as well. Just before going on a break to make room for group C, he had a woman who was said to be instrumental to his success give fans some clues. The visual clues included a comb, brush and shampoo. Fans have differing opinions as to how this links to Bow Wow. First, his daughter had a viral hairstyling video he was in, but he also had a failed deal to be involved with Micael Vick's Wave Masterz hair product line. He mentioned his entourage, a nod to his role on the TV series EntourageThe post-performance clue given to T-Pain was a bracelet with the words "all we do is win." Not coincidentally, his song with T-Pain features the line, "And they get mad when you win 'cause that's when they lose."

The first and second clue packages were equally full of clues that pointed directly at Bow Wow. His albums have been referenced repeatedly. The clues referencing them were a bag of leftover hush puppies for Doggy Bag, fame plaque with a $19 price tag for The Price of Fame, and Frog told us he was ready to sing his face off, which pointed to his album with Omarion called Face Off.  Clues linking to the basketball movie hit Like Mike included a basketball, lightning bolt and even more pointedly, a mic with a Facebook like symbol on it. Other acting roles of his have had clues like toy army men for his movie Allegiance and a typewriter with the letters C, S, and I highlighted for the show CSI: Cyber.

Previously, there were visual clues like $106 dollars for BET's 106 & Park, which he hosted. There was a flyer for the 1996 Olympics which took place in Atlanta where the rapper now resides. These provided more clear cut proof of what we all know. Frog is Bow Wow. If you need more convincing, we saw in a pre-season promo that frog had a platinum record, which of course Bow Wow has. We also know that in comparison to the height of host Nick Cannon, Frog is a significant bit shorter. At 5-foot-7, that fits as well. So, you get the point. We know it's him so now we can just enjoy his performances and root for a win.
