KUWTK: Kourtney's Boyfriend Younes' $5M Assault Charge Dropped

Kourtney Kardashian of Keeping Up With The Kardashians has been in a relationship with Algerian former boxer and model, Younes Benjima, for three years now. The couple has been reported to have a hot and cold relationship, with the two splitting previously over their three-year tenure.

Perhaps more concerning is the fact that Younes has shown he is prone to act out with violent behavior. In 2018, Younes was put in hot water for attacking a restaurant employee which made headlines as the video was posted online and went viral. In addition, Kourtney also seems to be picking up some of Younes's mean streak as recently during the 18th season of her family reality show she attacked sister Kim, which resulted in an epic catfight. But in turn, Younes is now in trouble again for his violent demeanor.

While at Coachella, reports have circulated that Younes attempted to follow Kourtney into the ladies restroom. A nearby security guard witnessed him doing this and went to stop Younes as the bathroom was strictly for ladies only. Allegedly, Younes proceeded to accost the security guard and slam him against the wall acting out in a fit of rage. The guard has since tried to sue Younes for damages of 5 million dollars occurring from this assault but recent reports now claim that case has been dismissed.

More interesting is that it was the security guard that is reported to have dismissed the case and not the judge who was assigned. This may signal that possibly an unknown settlement was reached in order to get him to walk away from the case and clear Younes's name. Moreover, Younes adamantly objected to the case's premise in the first place stating that the injuries caused to the security guard were a result of his own instigation. Regardless, assaulting a guard who's job is to keep peace and order is definitely a tricky situation for the former boxer.

It's important to note that Younes is a former boxer, as well, because this fact increases the risk of a higher penalty for the Algerian. Since he is a boxer, in the eyes of the court he has weaponized his body and any assault on his behalf will be treated more severely than the average man. This is likely why Younes would settle the case quietly out of court, despite vehemently defending his actions in public. Still, it is disturbing to see Younes's lack of remorse on this issue to say the least. Hopefully, Younes will learn his lesson from this incident and work to curb his violent tendencies before he makes a mistake he cannot buy his way out of. Also, fans can only hope Kourtney sees the writing on the wall before it's too late should Younes's behavior possibly carry over into their relationship.
