MTV's hit reality show The Challenge pulls houseguests from other reality television shows to compete against each other. While many of these contestants are from shows that take place in America, there are also several international contestants. In recent years, the show has begun to recruit houseguests from the reality show Big Brother.
While this originally began with just a few contestants from Big Brother, the number of BB contestants has drastically increased. The current season of The Challenge features 4 Big Brother rookies and one Big Brother/Challenge vet. While some of these challenges have made a name for themselves and will certainly return for future seasons, others failed miserably. Check out these rankings of every Big Brother US contestant to take on The Challenge.
13 Liz
While Liz had a successful run in Big Brother, serving as part of the "twin twist" and placing second, her time in the challenge was short-lived.
She appeared on The Challenge: War of the Worlds where the first competition was a purge challenge called "Impending Dune." Liz came in last in this competition, eliminating her from the game before she even got started.
12 Julia
Liz's twist sister Julia joined The Challenge: War of the Worlds cast, hoping to play alongside her sister. Without her sister there to help her, Julia wasn't able to solidify her place in the game.
She was eliminated in the 4th episode after losing "Ring-Tossed" against Mattie and Natalie N. Most Challenge fans who have not watched Big Brother will not even remember her appearance on the show.
11 Morgan
The Challenge: War of the Worlds was not a good season for Big Brother fans. Morgan is yet another contestant who was eliminated early on, leaving during the third episode.
The only reason The Challenge fans will remember this girl is because she was stupid enough to hook up with Johnny Bananas, which definitely did not help her game (though they are still together.) She ranks slightly higher than Julia only because she at least tried to get in good with a veteran, but she attached herself to the wrong one.
10 Victor
On Big Brother, Victor was a comp-beast and underdog. He is the only contestant to ever enter the game three times in one season, winning both a pre-jury and jury battle back competition.
Fans were excited when they learned this loveable athlete was going to be on The Challenge: Vendettas as it seemed the show would play to his strengths. Unfortunately, he couldn't dominate in The Challenge and he was evicted in episode 7.
9 Jozea
Jozea's ego didn't do him any favors on Big Brother. The way he disrespected the veteran players and called himself the "messiah" of the newbies quickly sent him out the door. In The Challenge, rookies are expected to earn respect so the future seemed bleak for Jozea.
Jozea actually appeared on both the spin-off series The Challenge: Champs vs Stars and The Challenge: Final Reckoning. In Final Reckoning, Jozea was paired with Da'Vonne. Though he didn't have an incredible season, he played much better than anyone expected of him. This season featured a redemption house and Jozea and Da'Vonne managed to battle their way back into the main house twice before finally being evicted in episode 15.
8 Fessy
Fessy is one of the rookies appearing on the current season of The Challenge. He has already earned far more respect from his fellow players on The Challenge than he ever earned on Big Brother.
Fessy is a solid athlete. Though he has yet to win a competition he has had a solid performance in each competition so far. Fessy has managed to form good relationships with others in the house and has avoided being dragged into any drama. He has the potential to make it far this season and return for future seasons.
7 Kaycee
This Big Brother winner is another rookie taking on the challenge this season. She has proved to have an impressive performance so far, winning her way into two tribunals. Kaycee is a likable person and forming strong relationships is what secured her win on Big Brother.
Kaycee had integrated herself well with many Challenge vets. In the episode that aired on 5/13, Kaycee was pulled into some drama due to her relationship with Nany. Hopefully, this drama doesn't cost Kaycee her good standing in the game. Either way, it seems clear that his challenger will have an invitation back for future seasons.
6 Josh
This Big Brother winner has certainly made a name for himself on The Challenge. He is currently competing on his third season after appearing in both War of the Worlds and War of the Worlds 2. Josh's biggest problem is his inability to control his emotions. He regularly gets into explosive arguments with other contestants, which prevents him from being able to solidify himself as a political mastermind, despite what Josh may think.
Josh has a total of 4 wins across 3 seasons. The longest he ever lasted in a game was in War of the Worlds 2 when he was eliminated in episode 13. Though Wes has said that Josh is not worth trying to eliminate because he wants to focus his energy on people who can actually win the game, Josh is determined to prove that he has what it takes to win. It seems clear that this challenger will become a regular contestant on the show.
5 Da'Vonne
If this list were most likable contestants, Da'Vonne would be at the top. Her personality is infectious and she has secured herself as a fan favorite on both Big Brother and The Challenge. Da'Vonne appeared on Final Reckoning and War of the Worlds. Both times she made it about halfway through the game.
In Final Reckoning, she battled her way back into the house twice before being eliminated in episode 15. In War of the Worlds, she was a constant house target due to being paired with Bear. She had managed to form some strong relationships on this season and might have gone further had she had a different partner or been able to compete alone. Fans were disappointed when she was eliminated in episode 14 after winning 6 competitions, 3 of which were killing floor competitions.
4 Natalie N.
Natalie is one of two Big Brother contestants to become a finalist on The Challenge. She appeared on 3 seasons of the show, Vendettas, Final Reckoning, and War of the Worlds.
She has won a total of 9 competitions between her seasons and cultivated many relationships in the house, although she also made some enemies. Natalie was dedicated to winning and has made several moves that others consider shady. Her determination, sweet and fiery personality and athletic prowess cemented Natalie in Challenge history.
3 Swaggy
Swaggy's Challenge rookie season is shaping up much better than his Big Brother appearance. This contestant has already been in three tribunals, wielding an insane amount of power for a rookie. He earned his way into two of those tribunals by winning the weekly competition and was placed in the other by his (now) wife Bayleigh.
If Swaggy can continue with this trajectory, he has a real shot at returning for future seasons and becoming a finalist.
2 Bayleigh
Though Bayleigh is currently participating in her rookie season of The Challenge, this queen has already proved that she is a formidable opponent. Bayleigh's major strength is her political game. This challenger has her eye on the prize. She is part of a power couple and is able to form positive relationships with others while also making it clear that she shouldn't be crossed. She has bartered many deals for her and Swaggy, often serving as the brains to his brawn. It is also revealed that she is secretly working with Wes, ensuring a powerful and established ally in the game.
Though her social game stands out, Bayleigh is also a great competitor. She has already won one competition, earning herself a spot in the tribunal. Even established veterans do not want to cross this rookie. It seems like Bayleigh has a good chance of making her way to the final and securing herself a spot on future seasons.
1 Paulie
Love him or hate him, you have to respect him. Paulie is undoubtedly the most successful Big Brother contestant to compete on The Challenge. He has appeared on Final Reckoning, War of the Worlds, and War of the Worlds 2. Paulie has racked up an impressive number of wins - 20 to be exact and has run two finals. He has also eliminated some impressive Challenge greats.
Paulie is not only a physical threat. Though he certainly has his rivals in the game, he has also managed to secure some strong alliances for himself. Regularly a target, Paulie isn't afraid to put his money where his mouth is and will happily compete to prove that he deserves to be in the game. Though Paulie isn't appearing on the current season of The Challenge, it is clear that he will return. And when he does, he'll be ready to win.
