The show Flight of the Conchords followed two New Zealanders, Bret and Jemaine, who traveled to New York to try to make it in the music industry with their folk duo band. Although the show only ran for two short seasons, the HBO series has become a cult classic and the two continue to release new music together.

10 Love Is A Weapon Of Choice (S2 E6) - 8.4

This episode follows Bret and Jemaine as they both immediately fall in love with a woman (Kristen Wiig) who is searching for her dog in the park.

The two fight over Wiig throughout the episode, even dueling each other, to win her affection even though they're not sure what her name is and debate if it's Barbara or BrahBrah. They both write songs for an epileptic dog charity because her dog has epilepsy.

9 Prime Minister (S2 E7) -8.4

The Prime Minister of New Zealand, who tells everyone to call him Brian, is visiting Murray at the consulate in New York so Bret and Jemaine are able to meet him as well.

Murray is able to get Bret and Jemaine a gig as Simon & Garfunkel impersonators and Jemaine starts seeing a woman who only likes him when he's dressed as Art Garfunkel.

8 Girlfriends (S1 E8) - 8.5

Eliza Coupe and June Diane Raphael guest-star as Bret and Jemaine's new girlfriends and they both have troubles in their relationships.

Bret is uncomfortable with how quickly his relationship is moving forward, saying that he usually waits three years until he invites a woman up to his apartment, and Jemaine has the opposite problem as his relationship goes nowhere. The two sing a French-inspired song as their relationships begin and a song about consent when Bret starts having issues.

7 Yoko (S1 E4) - 8.6

Bret continues to be infatuated by his girlfriend Coco (Sutton Foster) but both Jemaine and the band's number one fan, Mel, is frustrated and jealous by the relationship. Jemaine calls her Yoko, in reference to Yoko Ono, because he thinks she's breaking up the band.

Murray even warns Bret about the relationship, but Bret doesn't care because he is madly in love with her.

6 Drive By (S1 E7) - 8.6

Aziz Ansari guest-stars in this episode and begins as an antagonist to Bret and Jemaine who want to buy some fruit from his corner stand.

He says that he doesn't sell fruit to New Zealanders, Bret is particularly hurt by the xenophobic remarks, and their friend Dave teaches them to fight back against the hatred. By the end of the episode, the three become friends and bond over pranking the Australian embassy.

5 The Actor (S1 E11) - 8.6

Will Forte guest-stars in this episode as an aspiring actor who is currently working at a dry cleaner's. Murray is feeling depressed because he hasn't gotten a record deal for Bret and Jemaine, so the two ask Forte's character to act like he's from a record company and say he liked their music but couldn't offer him a deal.

Forte caves and tells Murray he has a record deal and suggests the duo write a Lord of the Rings inspired song to celebrate the trilogy's anniversary.

4 The Tough Brets (S2 E3) - 8.6

Bret puts together a gang to protect himself after he calls out various rappers in a song that disses and disrespects them and Murray worries about his safety. The group is a curious bunch, including their good friend Dave, and they have a West Side Story dancing and musical approach to fighting.

Meanwhile, Jemaine and Murray try to confront a group of bullies from the Australian consulate.

3 New Cup (S2 E2) - 8.7

Bret decides to get a new cup so they can have tea at the same time and Jemaine is oddly very upset about the purchase, saying that it will ruin their financial lives, and it turns out he was right. Because of Bret's new cup, they default on their gas and electric bills and have to pay late fees and fees when the checks bounce.

Bret sells his guitar, but it's not enough, and Jemaine suggests that Bret should become a prostitute so he can pay the full amount.

2 Unnatural Love (S2 E5) - 8.9

Jemaine wakes up after a wild night out with Bret and their friend Dave where they went out dancing at a club. He discovers that he's had a one-night stand with an Australian woman, which he is immediately upset about as the show has continually suggested a rift between New Zealanders and Australians.

Bret and Murray beg him to end the relationship, but Jemaine decides to stay with her and it ends in disaster.

1 Mugged (S1 E3) - 8.9

Bret and Jemaine are annoyed with Murray's overprotective behavior as he keeps telling them the streets of New York are dangerous, they could be mugged or ridiculed or pushed, so he won't book them night shows.

The two end up being mugged and when their rap as "Rhymenocerous and Hiphopopotamus" doesn't scare off the two muggers they run for it, but Bret leaves Jemaine behind.
