The former 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days star Ed "Big Ed" Brown has a seasonal surprise for his fans. He recently announced on his Instagram that his followers can now buy his latex face mask and pretend to be Big Ed this Halloween.
The San Diego native is popular for his appearance in 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days alongside his ex, Rose Vega. After the show, he managed to snag a spot on other spin-off shows like Self Quarantined, B90 Strikes Back, and a few episodes of Pillow Talk. Many 90 Day Fiancé viewers know that the 54-year-old reality star loves being the center of attention. He keeps doing odd bits on social media to make himself relevant and make people talk about him. Earlier, he made people interested in his love life by posting several pictures with young Asian girls. Soon it became clear that he wasn't dating any of them, but just looking for media attention. He then came up with his Big Ed clothing, stickers, and phone case collection. It seems all his antics did help bag another TLC show, as he was recently spotted filming with the network.
Now, Ed has come up with another cocky idea to grow his brand and cash in on his 90 Day Fiancé fame. He is selling a collection of latex face masks that have his personality features like the signature black-framed glasses and his ponytailed hair. Most importantly, the mask has an "icoNECK." Ed was born with a rare bone disorder, Klippel Feil syndrome, which has made his neck short. He shared a couple of pictures of the mask on Instagram and wrote, "Guys...it would mean the world to me if you scrunch up your shoulders and wear my mask for Halloween..." Check out how the mask looks:
While a couple of fans out of his 467K IG followers are eager to wear his look at Halloween parties, others aren't thrilled at all. Some critics wrote things like, "Does it come with a relentless need for attention and approval?," "Talk about squeezing out every drop of your so called 15 minutes of fame," and "no one buys this garbage." Still, after scrolling through several comments, one fan sounded pretty excited and said, "OMG MY HALLOWEEN COSTUME."
If the mask is cheap, fans won't mind buying it just for fun. TLC alum Ed hasn't shared its cost on his IG post, but on his website the mask is available at $24.99. It's yet another grab for fame, but fans will have to wait and see whether it pans out for Ed.
