The animated series Blood of Zeus has officially been renewed for season 2 at Netflix. The Greek mythology-inspired series debuted on the streaming platform this past October and has been praised for its ability to combine real elements of Ancient Greek myth with some original storytelling from the Powerhouse Animation studio. Apparently, the reception to Blood of Zeus was positive enough to warrant a second installment.
The renewal of Blood of Zeus for season 2 was announced on the Twitter account NX, one of Netflix’s official publicity accounts. The tweet included a short teaser video using footage from the first season of the fortune-telling Fates. Apparently, the Fates have seen the arrival of Blood of Zeus season 2 in our future. The tweet and teaser did not include any release date for the next part of the series.
The arrival of season 2 is great news for Blood of Zeus fans because the first season ended with several unanswered questions. One of the current theories is that the show is setting up Hades, the god of the Underworld, to be the new series villain in season 2. However, it’s also possible that the show could bring back the season 1 villain, Seraphim, for yet another round of evil deeds. Whatever the case may be, fans can at the very least get excited for Blood of Zeus season 2.
