10 BTS Pictures Of Life On The Set Of The Gilmore Girls

The original Gilmore Girls series wrapped up after seven seasons in 2007. Luckily for Stars Hollow fans, Netflix released a four-episode miniseries in 2016, showing the future of our favorite characters. However, fans still want more. This iconic TV drama was complex and filled with character development. It was a relatable show for viewers of all ages.

While the early 2000s wasn't a prime time for social media, there are a few behind-the-scenes photos that made their way to the Internet. And there are even more lovable moments shown behind-the-scenes when the reboot was in progress simply because of the accessibility of social media. Now that the series has long been over, fans can reminisce by scrolling through these behind-the-scenes moments that can only be seen in Stars Hollow.

10 Hep Alien!

Watching Lane Kim expand from a sheltered teenager to a independent badass drumming for a band was a highlight for Gilmore Girls fans. Lane deserved the best and it was a shame that she and her mother disagreed on so many things.

Her band, Hep Alien, was the one thing that made Lane feel like herself. Her bandmates were also the closest people to her when Rory was off at college. She married Zack and lived with Zack and Brian for years. This band may have never made it mainstream but watching together was thrilling.

9 Michel & Emily Should Have Had More Scenes Together

Michel and Emily were only in a few scenes together but they really should have teamed up throughout the series. Emily and Lorelai didn't have one thing in common but Michel and Emily, on the other hand, lived a sophisticated life and enjoyed nice things.

Michel looked up to Emily. Likewise, Emily appreciated Michel's sense of taste, style, and class. He was the one guy from Stars Hollow that Emily didn't detest.

8 Luke & Lorelai Were Meant To Be

Reddit

Watching Lauren Graham and Scott Patterson prep before shooting a scene together as Lorelai and Luke brings back all the feels. Luke and Lorelai were close friends for years before ever becoming intimate. Lorelai realized how much Luke's presence meant to her when she found out he moved to a different town with Nicole (while still running Luke's Diner, of course).

She hated the fact that Luke had a part of his life that he hid from her. Eventually, Lorelai and Luke realized their jealousy and worry for each other was because they were attracted to each other. Watching them grow as friends to partners was an incredible part of the show.

7 Early Dean & Rory Days

Dean and Rory had an attraction to each other from the start. He was the new kid in school and Rory was the beautiful bookworm. Dean was the first guy Rory really liked and based every relationship afterward on her time with Dean.

The two shared plenty of memories at Doose's Market because it's where Dean worked. It's also where they shared their first kiss and ran into each other in the 2016 reboot. Regardless if fans are #TeamDean, #TeamJess, or #TeamLogan, Dean and Rory will always have a special place in Gilmore Girls fandom.

6 Lane & Rory: BFFS 4 Ever

Lane was Rory's only real friend in Stars Hollow. The two friends had their ups and downs when Rory switched high schools but they remained close. No matter how much time goes by, these two always pick up where they left off.

Seeing Alexis Bledel and Keiko Agena reading scripts behind-the-scenes brings back a ton of emotions. These had some of the best parts on Gilmore Girls because they were so relatable for young viewers. They asked each other questions, they helped each other through breakups, they worried about school... Every pair of best friends saw themselves in Rory and Lane.

5 #TeamJess

@Agus (Twitter)

Many Gilmore Girls fans know by now that Milo Ventimiglia and Alexis Bledel dated in real life for a number of years after meeting on the set. This could be why so many fans are #TeamJess because the chemistry they shared was real.

Sadly, the two broke up around 2006 but never disclosed what tore the relationship apart. There doesn't appear to be bad blood considering they were able to work happily together for the Gilmore Girls reboot.

4 Hi, Babette!

EOnline

Babette Dell was so much more than Lorelai and Rory's neighbor. She a loving member of the community who cared about everyone in Stars Hollow. She also had all the gossip, making her a town know-it-all with Miss Patty.

Sally Struthers is the iconic actress behind Babette's husky voice and need-to-know everything personality. Seeing her sit there gearing up for a town meeting makes fans miss her and those crazy meetings.

3 When Enemies Become Friends

Zimbio

There aren't any moments in the show where Dean and Jess are best friends laughing about their days. Because of their undying love for the same woman, Dean and Jess were never fond of each other. Even when the two guys had other girlfriends, they always hoped for a different outcome with Rory.

In the Gilmore Girls reboot, Dean is now remarried with kids of his own but Jess was still available. He also still had feelings for Rory based on the way he longingly looked at her. Now that Logan is engaged to another woman, maybe Rory and Jess can finally start a mature relationship.

2 The OG Gilmores

Emily and Richard Gilmore aren't credited enough with how much they've helped Lorelai and Rory. Lorelai will always have a personal vendetta against them because of her youth, but she can't deny how good they are to her daughter.

Richard and Emily showed love through money. By paying for Rory's education and attempting to help her with her home and business constructions was their way of showing affection. Nevertheless, seeing Richard and Emily lounge so casually outside is fun to see.

1 The Pair We Didn't Get Enough Of

Jess could have had a different path in life if he went to a school that challenged him. Sure, he had no drive for school but he was an intelligent kid who actually enjoyed reading.

In one scene, Jess and Paris spontaneously ended up at Rory's house where the three of them ate takeout food and talked about literature. It was one of Jess and Rory's more shining moments. It made fans wish Paris and Jess had more scenes together.
