Bachelor: How Matt James' Personality Failed to Shine Through On Air

After Matt James sent Bri Springs home last Monday night, one fan felt so let down by The Bachelor lead that she took it upon herself to request money from Matt because his season was a waste of her time. To her surprise, Matt did in fact pay the fan $1. He even left a silly comment on her viral TikTok video. This encounter led fans to believe that they did not get to see Matt's full personality throughout the season. Plenty of people are starting to think that Matt is actually a funny goofball, even though he wasn't perceived that way by The Bachelor viewers.

Matt was in for quite the shock when he joined The Bachelor. From drama to bullying to controversies, this season has been anything but dull. Despite all of the excitement going on around him, Matt was seen as being quite boring while he was on the show. He would repeatedly say the same few phrases over and over to the ladies, hiding much of his true personality. The only time viewers would really get to see bits and pieces of Matt's fun personality was when they watched the short blooper clips at the end of the episodes, which fans seemed to love.

As Matt's season of The Bachelor is soon coming to an end, a lot of viewers are wishing that they saw less of the drama and nonsense and more of Matt's personality. He seems like he is a good sport and pleasant to be around. Matt is most likely the type of person who can easily laugh at himself in any situation. The way Matt joked about kissing with his eyes open at the Women's Tell All shows that Matt's carefree and fun personality wasn't featured on the show.

Much of this has to do with the production team and how it chooses to edit the season. Unlike past seasons, the editing was mainly focused on the drama, rather than the individual contestants and leads. There are viewers who think they didn't get to know anyone during Matt's season. Some found it hard to believe that other fans had favorite contestants throughout the season, as they did not really get to know them that well. It seems as though people who watch the show feel like production cuts out all of the good and genuine aspects of the series.

Matt's personality is better displayed on his social media than it was on the show. The finale is coming up on Monday night. Perhaps Matt's personality will in fact get to shine during the live After the Final Rose. Hopefully, that personality won't be edited out by production.
