Real Housewives of Potomac: Inside Candiace Dillard's $800K DC Home

Candiace Dillard Bassett from The Real Housewives of Potomac recently decided to sell the infamous DC-area home she owned with her mother. She lived in the house alongside her husband, Chris Bassett, long before the couple was even married. Now, she and Chris are ready to say goodbye to their old home and hello to their new one.

The townhouse obviously meant a lot to Candiace, but it also held significance for the viewers of RHOP. The townhouse is where the infamous fight between Candiace and Ashley during season four took place. The 34-year-old invited her castmates over for dinner prepared by her husband. After dinner and some bickering at the table, Ashley and Candiace went at it. The fight resulted in Candiace throwing a butter knife in Ashley's direction. After such an iconic moment, it's safe to say the townhouse will be missed but never forgotten.

In a recent interview with People, Candiace opened up about listing her $799,000 DC townhome. The townhome is located in Oxon Hill, Maryland, and is currently listed with Monica Bryant of Redfin. During the interview, Candiace opened up about why she decided to list the home now. "It's a great time for the current market and we have had the home in our family long enough to make a generous return on our investment," she explained, adding that they were "ready for a change."  While Candiace may be ready to move on from the townhouse, it does come with some special perks she will miss, including the location. The home is on a quiet hill that still has access to all the major highways that lead to the surrounding DC, Maryland, Virginia areas.

Besides the location, the townhome also includes a rooftop terrace with fabulous water views. The three-bedroom, four-and-a-half bathroom home has 2,960 square feet of living space spread across four stories. The home is also fairly new, as it was built in 2013. The main level includes a sizeable den with a spacious kitchen and dining room. Downstairs, there is a spot perfect for "an office space, homeschooling, or a workout area," according to the listing. The third floor includes another two bedrooms, each with an ensuite and a laundry room. Up another set of stairs are an open living area, a fourth bedroom, and the rooftop deck that Candiace will miss the most.

Candiace's townhouse will be definitely be remembered by fans, much like other homes viewers of the Housewives have grown to cherish. It was a place that saw many fights between the ladies of Potomac and between Candiace and her mother. While the townhouse will be missed, fans are looking forward to seeing the brand new $1 million home Candiace recently purchased with her husband.
