The 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way couple gave fans the heartbreaking news via Instagram, when Sumit, 32, posted that he and Jenny, 61, had a new problem to tackle. Originally from Palm Springs, Jenny has been staying in India with Sumit since the start of 2020. However, her and Sumit’s diagnosis as India experiences a public health crisis came as a major blow. But both Jenny and Sumit have tackled the coronavirus, said her daughter, Christina, in a new update.
Since Jenny’s second sojourn to India to be with Sumit ended with him giving her a promise ring on the finale, 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way viewers have stayed tuned for news from the couple. Most of Jenny’s and Sumit’s comments are often from TLC viewers asking when they’ll get married, a question that was answered by the Californian grandmother in a recent comment. But just as Jenny revealed that she’ll make marriage plans with Sumit once COVID-19 passes, news of the pair testing positive came to light.
In more recent news, Christina asked for prayers, as mom Jenny was finding it difficult to breathe. Better known as “Tina,” Jenny’s daughter confirmed that, while her mother and Sumit were experiencing milder symptoms, it still was “harder for her to breathe.” This made the situation sound serious for Jenny, with elderly people being the prime victims of COVID-19. However, the collective prayers of 90 Day Fiancé fans worked, as in her next video, reposted by 90 DayTheMelanatedWay, Christina confessed Sumit and Jenny were now “fully recovered."
Along with 90 Day Fiancé icon Jenny’s age putting her at risk, fans commented how Sumit having diabetes also made him vulnerable in India’s devastating second wave. Still, Christina revealed Sumit and her mom are doing “very very well,” and that Jenny is “doing fantastic.” The make-up artist, who has not seen Jenny for over a year, spoke about her mother feeling great, although she expressed that “she was a little worried there for a second.” Christina concluded her video by adding that her mom, Sumit, and the rest of their family, wanted to thank well-wishing 90 Day Fiancé fans for their “prayers, love, and messages.”
Christina herself sent prayers to India, asking everyone to stay safe in the COVID-19 calamity, which has been swallowing entire families and neighborhoods, with the nation reporting 3,600 deaths and 390,000 new cases on Sunday, as per WSJ. 90 Day Fiancé star Jenny, despite her trying her best to stay safe and indoors with Sumit, tested positive, which amplified the severity of the situation.
