Idris Elba has taken center stage in yet another Fortnite teaser trailer, announcing that his Suicide Squad character Bloodsport will drop onto the island in the very near future. The actor first unveiled Bloodsport's upcoming Fortnite crossover in a 10-second teaser video that went live yesterday, July 28. In it, Elba confirmed more news would hit the web soon.
The mercenary counts as just one of many DC heroes, anti-heroes, and villains to join the popular battle royale experience. As many a fan may recall, Bloodsport's fellow Suicide Squad member Harley Quinn entered the mix last year in honor of Birds of Prey's theatrical release. Beast Boy and Raven, both notable members of Teen Titans, previously hit the island, too. And Batman has played a major part in the vast Fortnite universe, even spawning a crossover comic series. Now it's Bloodsport's turn to wreak havoc on the world of Fortnite.
As previously promised, Epic Games shared more news about the Bloodsport content in an all-new trailer featuring Idris Elba. The actor notably announced that The Suicide Squad's deadly mercenary will come to Fortnite on Tuesday, August 3 at 8:00 PM ET. Bloodsport won't hold back either; as a "world-class marksman," the guy single-handedly sent the Man of Steel to the ICU with the help of a Kryptonite bullet. And every weapon he picks up instantly warrants classification as lethal. In short, Bloodsport should prove quite formidable on the battlefield. Check out the Idris Elba-starring teaser below:
