It didn't last long but Flavor Of Love is definitely one of the most entertaining reality TV shows to ever air on American TV. Structured in an almost similar style as The Bachelor, the VH1 ratings juggernaut saw female contestants compete against each other to win the love of former Public Enemy rapper Flavor Flav.
Claiming to memorize nicknames better than real names, Flav labeled each of the contestants in a manner he saw fit. Years after leaving the show, a good number of them are still known by their nicknames today. Fans might also be keen on knowing what new ventures some of the show's most popular contestants are focused on currently.
10 Pumkin
Brooke "Pumkin" Thompson was one of the show's biggest ever villains and she claimed the 3rd spot in Season 1. Her most memorable action was spitting on Tiffany right after she was eliminated. This action earned her the "Best Fight" award at the 2006 Fox Reality Awards.
Brooke currently resides in her hometown of Baskerville and works for an accounting firm. Unlike her co-stars, she is hardly on social media, which she has described as toxic. Unsurprisingly, Brooke has stated that she would very much like to appear on reality TV again if a show as good as Flavor Of Love ever gave her an offer.
9 Buckwild
Appearing in the second season, Becky "Buckwild" Johnston was also as wild as reality TV contestants come. Her most infamous action was throwing a shoe at Tiffany.
Becky constantly posts photos on Instagram but not much is known about her current profession. Back in 2015, VH1 had reported that she was working at a toy store and was content with the job. There are no "toy store" pictures from her on her Instagram, suggesting she might have quit that specific job.
8 Hoopz
The Season 1 winner won Flavor Flav's heart but then dropped the bombshell by announcing that she had no feelings for him. She would go on to get engaged to legendary basketball player Shaquille O'Neal.
After emerging the winner in Flavor Of Love, Nicole "Hoopz" Alexander also participated in and won another VH1 reality show titled I Love Money. She has demonstrated her entrepreneurial side by opening a clothing store as well as a wine collection. She has also starred in the movie King Dog. As of 2021, she is heavily focused on modeling work.
7 New York
She was also one of the most memorable villains of the show. After being rejected by Flavor Flav twice and finishing runners-up in two consecutive seasons, Tiffany "New York" Pollard took initiative and launched her own spinoff show titled I Love New York, where she was the bachelorette being sought after.
While some of her fellow contestants from Flavor Of Love have branched out to different fields. Tiffany has taken reality TV very seriously. Since departing from the show, Tiffany has appeared in some of the best dating reality TV shows. Most recently (2020), she appeared in Celebrity Ex On The Beach where she was introduced as the ex of British ex-military operative David McIntosh.
6 Deelishis
Chandra "Deelishis" Davis won Season 2, to plenty of fanfare. It seemed like she and Flavor Flav were destined for a happily-ever-after life but the two broke up shortly after the season ended.
After leaving the show, Davis appeared in several Hip Hop music videos. She also had supporting roles in the reality TV shows I Love Money and Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta on the fifth-season finale in 2016. As of 2021, she is focused on hosting parties and trying her hand in different types of investments.
5 Bootz
During her time on the show, Larissa "Bootz" Hodge just wouldn't stop fighting with Pollard. She'd go on to finish in 4th place in Season 2, behind the woman she hated the most.
At the moment, Larissa is focused on being a career woman. According to her, the only reason she never continued the reality TV journey is that she was involved in a car accident that left her with serious injuries. The subsequent legal proceedings also took a toll on her. Hopefully, she'll see brighter days.
4 Buckeey
Shay "Buckeey" Johnson was a promising contender but she only finished 5th. This didn't discourage her from pursuing a career in reality TV. She then became part of the most memorable couples on Love & Hip Hop.
Recently, Shay and her brother appeared in Iyanla: Fix My Life where spiritual coach Iyanla Vanzant tried to reconcile her with her parents who she is said to be estranged from. Shay also continues to place her focus on fitness as well as reality TV. The star confessed to having lost over 60 pounds over the past few years.
3 Saaphyri Windsor
She was the only ever contestant without a nickname. She was also the only contestant to only last a single episode. However, that didn't break her resolve. She appeared in the show Charm School, where she took the grand prize of $50,000. Definitely not one of the reality shows with the biggest prizes.
Saaphyri had quite the adventure after leaving the show. She served 20 months in prison for identity theft. She also launched a lib balm line before returning to TV courtesy of the reality series Botched in order to correct some of her poorly-done plastic surgeries. Saaphyri also told VH1 that despite being booted after only a single episode, she had a genuine love for Flav. Today, she is focused on her cosmetics business.
2 Hottie
Schatar "Hottie" Sapphira was described as one of the show's prettiest contestants, a fact that she was very proud of. Unfortunately, this wasn't enough to make her a victor.
Losing wasn't necessarily a bad thing for her since Schatar has done a lot ever since leaving the show. Together with her husband Maxie Collier, she founded a film studio that creates animated content and documentaries. As of 2021, she is also an author going by the pen name Star Sugarman. Her focus is on erotic novels.
1 Smiley
The Season 1 winner also looked promising, only to finish 5th place. After appearing in Charm School and I Love Money, she seems to have given up on a career on reality TV and is now focused on her personal life.
Leilene "Smiley" Ondrade has kept her affairs private but back in 2016, she revealed that she has been divorced 3 times. She also stated that she is still into modeling. She also went back to school, film school specifically, so hopefully, her fans will get to see her appear in a few movies or TV shows in the near future.
