Chrishell Stause and Jason Oppenheim from Selling Sunset recently shocked fans when they revealed they were a couple on Instagram while vacationing in Capri, Italy and some fans think they are an odd couple. Chrishell broke the news first, sharing photos of the pair getting cozy while vacationing. Their blossoming romance came as a surprise to viewers, and Chrishell and Jason have both claimed that they are happy together. However, some consider their relationship weird.
A lot has happened to Chrishell in the past few years. Towards the end of season 3, she went through a divorce with This Is Us actor Justin Hartley. The breakup was extremely emotional, and Chrishell's Oppenheim coworkers rallied around her for support. She then entered a short-lived relationship with her Dancing With The Stars coach and pro dancer, Keo Motsepe. They called it quits in February, and their relationship ended on a sour note. Chrishell blamed him for playing the victim.
Jason has also opened up about the relationship with PEOPLE saying the two have been close friends, and it has developed into an amazing relationship. After Chrishell's multiple relationships ended sourly, fans are happy to see her find love again. However, they are not thrilled that she is dating her boss. Dating a boss is always frowned upon in the workplace, and fans feel their relationship is odd and could be an HR violation. Miss Worldwide on Twitter responded saying, "isn't that her boss...weird." Anika Reed also responded on Twitter, saying, "Jason and Chrishell?! They love an HR violation on #SellingSunset." While many fans have criticized their relationship, the couple has remained unbothered. Chrishell recently made a mockery of the judgmental DMs she has been receiving about dating her boss. She even reposted some of the condemning messages about her and Jason in her Instagram story, remaining unbothered.
Aside from the awkwardness of a boss dating a subordinate, their relationship raises eyebrows because Jason dated Mary Fitzgerald as well. They dated for months and even lived together before Mary joined the company in 2014. The two remained close friends after the breakup. Jason was even a groomsman in Mary's wedding to Romain. What makes their relationship even more convoluted is that Mary and Chrishell are close friends. Mary has supported their relationship and admits that she is happy for them. Members of the Oppenheim group have stated they are all close, and they consider one another as family. Some fans may think that's too close, but Chrishell and Jason are standing by their romance.
