A new image from Spider-Man: No Way Home offers an alternate perspective in the hero's fight with Doc Ock. Spider-Man: No Way Home might be arriving within the last weeks of 2021, but it definitely stands as one of the most anticipated movies of the entire year. Once again directed by Jon Watts, the third and potentially final MCU Spidey movie brings back Tom Holland as the webslinger and tosses him into a multiversal adventure after he attempts to erase his identity from the public's memory following Spider-Man: Far From Home. When a spell from Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) goes awry, the multiverse gets split wide open.
That allows for Spider-Man: No Way Home to take a trip down memory lane in a big way. For months now, there have been competing rumors and reports over who is included among the supporting cast of the film, with all signs pointing to a massive list of past Spider-Man actors. While the involvements of some, like Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, remain largely kept a mystery, Spider-Man 2's Alfred Molina has been at the center of Spider-Man: No Way Home's promotional efforts. He returns to play his much-lauded Doc Ock after previously appearing in Sam Raimi's 2004 movie.
Doc Ock's big fight with Spider-Man is the subject of the latest image from No Way Home. Shared online by Total Film (via GamesRadar+), the image looks down on Spider-Man from over Doc Ock's shoulder, offering a rather intimidating look at the beloved superhero. Check it out down below.
As the first Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer revealed, Doc Ock comes at Peter Parker while he's stuck on the highway. It was a great closing moment for the highly-anticipated trailer, and it continues to be a focal point of the various images revealed from the film. It remains to be seen just how big of a part Doc Ock will play in Spider-Man: No Way Home, but at the very least, fans will get a thrilling action scene out of him. His tentacles, while not shown in the above image, are on full display in the movie's official poster; Doc Ock will definitely be a formidable enemy for Peter in this one.
It's interesting to see just how much attention the Doc Ock fight has received. Marvel and Sony have been exceptionally careful when revealing anything about Spider-Man: No Way Home; beyond the Doc Ock scene, very few action pieces have been glimpsed in the promotional materials. That just means there's so much more to uncover within Spider-Man: No Way Home, and that could include a bigger role for Doc Ock. It's a good thing the movie itself is only just over a month away; fans won't have to wait much longer for answers about this exciting MCU installment.
