Craig Robinson Starring in New Peacock Comedy Series

Craig Robinson is joining forces with Brooklyn Nine-Nine executive producers Dan Goor and Luke Del Tredici on a new comedy show for NBC's Peacock, titled Killing It. Robinson has previously worked with both Goor and Del Tredici in his recurring role as Doug Judy, a.k.a. the Pontiac Bandit, on Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Goor is also a past executive producer and writer of comedy favorites Parks and Recreation and The Office, the latter of which also featured Robinson as a side character.

With an already stacked group of comedy alums signed on, Killing It only has a vague premise so far. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the comedy will center on Robinson's character and his journey to find the American Dream while navigating capitalism, class, and, apparently, huge snakes. It will fall under the Universal Television branch of NBCUniversal, where Goor has an existing deal. Robinson and his manager, 3 Arts' Mark Schulman, will also be executive producers of the show. The two previously collaborated on the unfortunately ill-fated comedies Ghosted and Mr. Robinson.

If company executives are happy with the script, Killing It will get a direct route to full series instead of waiting for a pilot to be approved. This script-to-series format means fans will have much quicker access to Robinson, Goor, and Del Tredici's comedy. Plus, with the show going directly to Peacock, NBC's newly-launched, free streaming service, everyone will have access.

There are no details on when Killing It might hit screens, and eager viewers may still have to suffer through ads while watching it on Peacock. However, it's safe to say the team of Robinson, Goor, and Del Tredici will bring some much-needed humor to the world.
