John Legend is back to coach the hopeful singers on season 20 of The Voice. He's hoping to win this year's competition now that last year's winning coach, Gwen Stefani, is taking a break from her swivel chair. John has only coached one winner on The Voice, season 16's Maelyn Jarmon. However, outside of The Voice, John has made a highly successful career for himself as a singer and songwriter. The soul singer and his wife, Chrissy Teigen, recently purchased a new home in Beverly Hills, and it's as chic and glamorous as you might expect.
This season of The Voice features four returning coaches: John Legend, Kelly Clarkson, Blake Shelton, and Nick Jonas. John's wife, Chrissy Teigen, is successful in her own right as a model, cookbook author, and one of the most popular users on Twitter, even though she recently quit the platform. Together, John and Chrissy bring in plenty of money, and their new house shows just how lavishly the couple and their two children are living.
John and Chrissy sold their Beverly Hills home, which was previously owned by Rihanna, for $24 million and moved into another home in the same neighborhood. Their new home cost $17.5 million, and it is 1,500 square feet bigger than their old home, coming in at a whopping 10,000 square feet. The mansion is located on a small hill and gives the family plenty of privacy, as 16 security cameras surveil the property. Like any good mansion, their new pad has a home theater with a giant 145-inch projection screen and speakers. There's also a saltwater infinity pool, a fire pit, a barbeque area, a bar, and a wine cellar.
The home has plenty of outdoor space for John and Chrissy to entertain friends and for their kids to run free. With 24-foot ceilings and lots of views into the backyard, being indoors is almost as good as being outside. A unique feature of the house is an indoor bridge that leads to the master suite. The bedroom has its own balcony, as does every bedroom in the house. There are six bedrooms total and nine bathrooms. The bathrooms are equipped with steam showers, stone sinks, and LED mirrors. John, Chrissy, and their children, Luna and Miles. moved into their new home in August of 2020. They bought the house through Douglas Elliman Real Estate, which frequently sells homes for $40 million and up.
John Legend and Chrissy Teigen have already been at their new house for more than 6 months. They love having friends over, so many famous guests have probably enjoyed marveling at John and Chrissy's new space. As a busy season of The Voice gets underway, John must appreciate having this Beverly Hills oasis to come home to.
