RHONY: Why Fans Are Mocking Bethenny’s Forever Young Wine Debut

Fans of The Real Housewives of New York are making a mockery out of Bethenny Frankel's new Forever Young wine launch. The show alum bragged about "cracking the code" in the spirits industry while unveiling her Forever Young Wine brand. However, a lot of people think that her new beverage is just another attempt to stay relevant. When she introduced a new alcohol brand to the public, plenty of Bravo fans shared how much they hated her Skinnygirl beverage.

Bethenny is all about living a healthy lifestyle. She was a celebrity chef during RHONY season one, who prided herself on putting together tasty and health-conscious meals for her clients to enjoy. As the fan favorite's success and popularity grew, so did her business ventures. After releasing her 2009 book Naturally Thin: Unleash Your SkinnyGirl, she soon entered the liquor industry with the release of her Skinnygirl beverage line. She cashed out big in 2011. Beam Global bought her cocktail line for $100 million. Since she retains the right to license the brand name for other products, she has continued using the name to push out more products.

This week, the Bravo alum took to Instagram to unveil her newest beverage, which is known as Forever Young Wine. She made sure to pat herself on the back in the process. "Can lightning in a bottle strike twice? I cracked the code in the spirits business once before," she captioned a photo of herself, which showed her holding a glass of her new wine. "My little cocktail baby was the fastest growing liquor brand in history, at the time. I paved the way for many other media personalities to launch their own cocktail brands and created a new category," she added. However, the cocky tone of her post rubbed some fans the wrong way. They decided to make a mockery of the new wine debut.

After one person added a screenshot of the Instagram post on Reddit, onlookers blasted Bethenny for releasing a product that served out "Ageless by Ramona vibes." Another said that Bethenny was giving out "Cheater brand vibes," considering the classic show line and how her former co-stars (who accused her of orchestrating her engagement) also had wine beverages. One person called her out for not supporting her peers. "Classic Bethenny not supporting other women. Déclassé," they quipped. "And Ramona has a pinot so eeeesh. Sonja and Tipsy Girl would like a word B," added someone else.

Many others felt that The Real Housewives of New York legend Bethenny gave herself a little too much credit in the alcohol industry. “I paved the way”, “I cracked the code”, “thanks to MY little brand”….. One would think she actually invented/discovered alcohol itself," one person said. Bethenny showed off her marketing skills in the post, and it's likely that she knew her lengthy caption would stir up enough chatter to garner sales. If there's one thing that Bethenny understands, it's how to make money.
